I thought not having defined districts was one of the advantages only the the p/p schools had...7 points

Yeah, noticed it earlier but bit my tongue, it’s not the inherent hypocrisy that bothers me quite so much as the complete lack of self-awareness it takes to actually boast about it.3 points

You could put the period after "posts" and eliminated the rest of the sentence and it would still be accurate.3 points

How is that an answer? This tread is about Roncalli. When someone (read Muda or DT), make a disparaging comment about Roncalli I am going to respond. I have that right. Muda and DT are certainly entitled to their position but if they say things that are factually incorrect and make disparaging comments about people associated with Roncallie that I know are incorrect, I am going to fire back.2 points

May have been a suspect call? Not sure I buy into the "great stuff". My oldest son was on that team and was the receipient of the Phil N. Eskew Mental Attitude Award after the game. That was a tough loss, but life is about wins and losses. That game against Lowell has certainly grounded me in the belief that any team playing in the State Championship can come out the winner. My youngest son is the Offensive Coordinator for Roncalli and will be calling the plays on Friday. Might be more anxious for him calling the plays than when he was actually playing. I think it will be a great game, and having Hobart back in the State Finals is awesome.2 points

I’d like to personally wish Bob Gaddis well in his retirement. Obviously this was good news(maybe) for the rest of the Conference but it’s hard to not respect what he did in his time up there. One of the greatest coaches in Indiana Football history.2 points

Does this mean they also play with under inflated footballs, tape practice sessions of their opponents, bend the rules slightly although often unnoticed and have a principal (team owner) who likes massages at questionable establishments too?????? If so Trojans 49 Danville 7 😅2 points

As electoral politics in recent years have shown, one of the greatest cultural challenges we face as a society is intolerance ... and I’m talking primarily about intolerance for the opinions of others. This is manifested by the growing trend of demonizing those with contrary opinions. “They have bad opinions, or do things that I don’t like, therefore they must be bad people.” If people were just a little more live-and-let-live, the world (and the GID) would be a better place. @DT, @Muda69, and all our other notorious contrarians and out-of-the-box thinkers: 👍2 points

Fair enough, would you say Park Tudor has a "competitive advantage" over South Adams or North Decatur? How about Providence do they have a "competitive advantage" over Triton Central or Western Boone? Oldenburg Academy do they have a "competitive advantage" over South Adams or even Hagerstown? Does Bishop Noll have a "competitive advantage" over Boone Grove, Wheeler, or WeBo? See your 2.0 multiplier you want in place doesn't just have an effect on the top few P/P schools that have success it effects the bottom of the P/P's too. It would force schools like Oldenburg Academy, Providence, Park Tudor, and Noll to play 2 classes up when they struggle to have success in their current class Do you think Providence could compete in 4A? Park Tudor and Oldenburg Academy in 3A? Sorry but Success Factor addresses where it needs to be addressed P/P and Public. The only problem is it needs to be the initial proposal of 4 years instead of 2. Covenant Christian is in its enrollment based classification same as Shridan. They have maybe 12 more students in their school than South Adams.2 points

I want to get on this P?P advantage for small schools. I'm going to talk to the rabbi at the Yeshiva and look to form a team. Championship is in the bag. Shalom2 points

Back in august he couldn’t shut up. “Doyel: Purdue's Rondale Moore does what college football lacks the guts to do: Opt out of 2020” That single headline speaks to how consistently wrong he has been.1 point

South Adams has 116 tackles for loss. Only have 18.5 sacks, but most teams we face exclusively run the ball.1 point

With State Finals in 3 day, I want to publically thank @Rudy for his constant work during this crazy fall and will now unpin this thread Rudy, hope you are ok, that looked like a nasty fall Sunday..... can't believe you were in the way like that.... a veteran like yourself should of known better !!!1 point

Come on now. You know Roncalli wouldn't be in a Sectional with Center Grove. They would lump Cathedral, Roncalli, Chatard, and Brebeuf into 1 sectional (if Chatard and Brebeuf were put in the same class). The only way to get to Center Grove would be Regional. 😆1 point

Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2.3. It wouldn't be a good week unless Stink speaks his peace! Don't know much about the Woody Warriors, oh wait, that was a few Tiger BL's ago!!! But Stink does know this! Stink will not pick the Catholic Trojans to win, no sir, not in this show! Stink was able to watch the Butter Raiders vs The Small Tepee Warriors last week.......... and man those Butter Raiders were on the struggle bus for sure. Wish they would have played that way a week ago.....we may have had a rematch with the Warriors & Stink Town in the Pit. Anywho, those small tepee Warriors did look legit, and they may just have the ingredients to pull off the upset. You can say what you want, and it would be an upset indeed, but Stink will be cheering for the public schools while drinking Tiger BL's and getting crunk with his homies. Public School Champs FOREVER - Catholic School Champs (I WISH NEVER)!!!1 point

And they didn’t get to play a full conference schedule. So if the conference can give these awards, couldn’t they award the conference champ?1 point

Nice to know that those with strong opinions are demeaned and degraded on this website, especially when it comes to p/p schools. Talk about a titanic sized chip on one's shoulder. Yep, RebelDad came out of retirement to lead the charge, just when his precious southern rebels are contending for a state title. Coincidence? I think not.1 point

You should, with how your precious little p/p school treated at least one individual who had a different sexual orientation than you.1 point

I don’t know how it is now but when I was there many years ago, former players would call, send texts, write letters and come talk to us at practice and games reminding us of just how important it was to carry on the winning tradition. That was throughout the whole year. So to us, if we left Indianapolis without that State championship, we didn’t accomplish our goal and our season was a failure. No moral victories for us. I’m sure Kyle (Lindsay) has his team approaching this week the same way.1 point

My biggest question is how a kid gets any kind of mvp award for a conference when their team doesn’t even win a conference game. I’m not saying sam isn’t a good player but surely there was a more deserving player from any of the teams that had conference wins. We faced solid defensive players across the board from Laville, Judson etc. When a team is on defense for the majority of most games of course their stats will be inflated. I just think the team wins should be taken into account.1 point

You are not going to get away with that comment. The "great respect" you have for them is clear in wanting to impose a 2.0 multiplier on them which would ensure 99% of those schools would never win a State Champ. Respect? Give me a break. Cathedral is the ONLY school can could compete going moving up 2 classes from their enrollment which is what the multiplier would do. Respect? The 2.0 multiplier is disrespect. At least try and be honest. Respect? Give me a break.1 point

Lol the avatar was to be used in team builder with my stepson, but we never got the right NCAA version & gaming system to put it in there. It's a mix between Michigan & the San Diego Chargers. We both like Michigan (my #1 & his #2 to LSU) and we just liked the Chargers logo mixed in. The "Pioneer/SA" color scheme just fit in pretty well. I could change it back to the county trophy I suppose, but I use this all over the interwebz.1 point

Don't get off-track there fellas...this week/thread should be about the 2 teams remaining. We'll have plenty of time to discuss the JOKE of a sectional the IHSAA put together and how to fix it.1 point

That's not what I'm saying at all. But enrollment numbers mean nothing when classifying a private school What are you talking about? MV must accept all students within their district. Doesn't matter if they can play football or not. Privates have no district. They can control the make up of their student population.1 point
-
There you go, leaning on the crutch of enrollment when you feel it's to your argumentative advantage. Again, fair classifications should be about program, not enrollment.1 point

Chatard is just lucky that Casey Woods moved on. It would for sure be 3 in a row if he was still the coach. Comer is on quite a run of his own. 2 straight with WeBo and now back again with a different team. Danville roster is stocked with kids from Avon and Plainfield. They aren’t a bit rattled by Chatard and they really don’t care about the past. Danville 30 Chatard 21. Then they both move on to 4A!0 points

As it should be. Doesn't mean the current President's efforts will end today. He is still the President last time I checked....The results of his efforts may be the catalyst that gives the left what they need to expel JRB and elevate KDH to become the first female President because (IMHO) that has always been their end game.0 points

His goal isn't to be right or wrong. His goal is to generate post counts by throwing things out there he knows will generate opposition because they are so off base people will reply. The internet is filled with people like him and some people think they are the reason sites are interesting. They don't have to believe anything they post, but they get a thrill off the constant banter.0 points

Scott Marsh was a good man and not run off campus. Wrong again you are. But you are wrong in about 90% of your take on Roncalli. Always have and always will. Why? Because of your hate. I don't minimize Roncalli's success. I have said for 20 years here that they have success because of the PROGRAM. I have fully supported the Success Factor which has worked. Again let me remind you Mr. Roncalli Hater that Roncalli has won one state championship in 15 years.0 points
-
Your hate emotion is actually sad. The talent did not scatter. Roncalli lost no more kids during your "scandal period" than they lost in previous years. The downturn in the program was no more significant than what I showed in previous post under Scrifres during 3 year periods. I think most people would not see 8-2 being a downturn. Only you DT with your hater glasses on would see that. Schools reputation is just fine for the vast majority for which it matters. I could not give two cents on what you think of the reputation of Roncalli.0 points
-
Post like this show your absolute contempt for Roncalli. Those "sordid scandals" kind of all disappeared from the headlines. The Surpreme Court will settle the ones still not resolved. Roncalli is an outstanding instituition and the vast majority of students and parents who have attended or are attending are proud of their accomplishments. Your contempt has been around for what 20 years now and sure it will continue for the next 20. You should really try and "get a life" outside of your unhealthy fixation on the school.0 points
