I believe there are three “physical” traits and one playing issue that may be hindering his D1 recruitment. 1. And 2. Height and Weight: Program has him at 5’11” and 190 lbs. I’ve also read on recruiting services he is 5’10” 185 lbs. I would tend to believe the recruiting services as we know most programs add a few inches and pounds to program. 3. 40 time. I don’t believe he is a consistent sub 4.5 guy based on watching film. He’s likely 4.5-4.6 range not slow but not a blazer. He's what I call a tweener. He’s not big enough to allow for a slower 40 time and not fast enough to allow for smaller frame. 1. Playing issue: Competition level This is not his fault but the competition level is not that great. Recruiters factor this in as well. So much of recruiting today is also the eye test at Summer Camps. I believe he has attended some of these camps and has not received a ton of interest. This tells me something. As we have all seen in the past, great high school players don’t translate necessarily to D1 status. Now, I do believe he should be our states Mr. Football. He deserves it. Kudos to him for this season and his career at Knox. I hope Knox makes it to LOF so he has a big stage to perform on and show everyone his abilities.4 points

Just found out I’ll be at Freed Field Friday night. Excited, not just to observe a very good crew and see a very good football game, but because that place holds so many great memories for me. Worked some HUGE games there over the years. My last game as an on field official was there. Always treated well. A real first class organization.3 points

The worst application of the transitive game is when A and B both beat C. Good news is A and B will play each other as long as they don’t step on any rakes down the stretch.2 points

Of course. Just assuming only the winner of the ACC makes the field. I’m guessing the Big 12 is a one-team league given the number of games the top three in that league still have against each other.1 point

A tip for the uninitiated. Watch the officials on the sidelines. If the official is pointing “back” with arm extended, that means the offensive player closest to him is in the backfield. If he’s not pointing, that means the player closest to him is on the line. The “wing” officials use those signals to help the crew determine if the formation is legal.1 point

BD and Carmel have had radio since as long as I can remember. The Calabro brothers came from BD radio. For those that listen, or used to, to Bob and Tom, KIristi Lee also came from BD radio.1 point

Based on this year, Indiana should be the #1 seed, but that is not how the powers that be see it. Historical data obviously plays an issue here which the Hoosiers have none. If they both win out, they will meet in Indy in a few weeks…1 point

Upfront they are big and physical, foot to foot as well. People assume he’s just a downhill power back (and he is) but he’s extremely patient finding the crease. That’s what makes him so dangerous imo1 point

No doubt. It’s intriguing for sure. Chatard won a shootout last week it appears. Did Brebeuf score late against 2s and 3s? Meanwhile, Roncalli looks to be clicking on all cylinders on offense.1 point

Am I missing it somewhere in another thread or is NOBODY talking about the Chatard vs. Roncalli matchup? I've heard Roncalli has improved a great deal and isn't the same team that took it on the chin from Chatard earlier in the year, but I don't know. That's just what I heard.1 point

Oh boy, that's a heck of a comparison. The kid you're referring to is still just in junior high. Not to be mean, but nobody cares what kind of numbers your middle school offense put up. You can have fully grown 14 year olds playing against 12 year olds that have never seen a razor. Definitely LOTS of factors still in play. Maybe your young Woolfs should work on some run defense. Until they convince me otherwise, PH will always just be a basketball school that occasionally wins some football games. In the meantime, keep dreaming Billy Boy. And quit derailing this thread from the conversation at hand... Sectional Championship - South Putnam @ Riverton Parke - The cliche holds true - Unstoppable Force vs. Immovable Object. This rematch of last year's championship game has seemed predestined to happen since last year's final buzzer sounded. The Eagles seem to be primed to make another run at state. They've reloaded their roster and look just as impressive as they were a year ago. Can they dictate the pace and simply outscore and pull away from the Panthers? Speaking of the Panthers, they have done nothing short of simply destroying everything in their path to get back here. They look much improved over last year's edition. Their offense gets a lot of hype, but their catalyst is really their defense. Can they get enough stops against the Eagles' offense? I do not see a repeat of last year as some have been saying. I don't see this version of RP letting that happen. And weather could be a factor this year. It's no secret that SP has played a lot of games on turf. A wet, muddy surface could play right into RP's style of play. We shall see. This will be a great game. Too many story lines to discuss on here, but I think the Panthers will pull out a close one. Got to insert the graphic.... SECTIONAL 24 Championship HH vs Jasper Friday, November 7th **EARLY KICKOFF** 6:30 pm CST @ Jasper Alumni Stadium History Of The Matchup Heritage Hills (10-1) @ Jasper (9-2) Jasper Alumni Stadium Friday, November 7, 2025 6:30 pm CST Kickoff This is the 26th meeting between Heritage Hills and Jasper. Heritage Hills leads the series 14-11. Jasper and Heritage Hills played in the regular season in the 1978 and 1979 seasons and the Wildcats won both meetings. The 1979 Patriot loss was a tough one, because a win would have given the Patriots their first unbeaten season to clinch a playoff berth. After the 1979 season, Jasper was replaced on the Patriot schedule with North Knox, who joined the PAC for a brief period. The Patriots went 10-0 in 1979, but without Jasper on the schedule the Patriots had played too many 1A schools and did not earn enough points for a playoff berth. The Patriots and Wildcats didn’t meet again until Jasper dropped to 3A from 1993-1996 and they split the four sectional matchups. After Jasper moved back to 4A, the two teams wouldn't meet again until the regular season series resumed in 2001. Heritage Hills won the 2001 game knocking off the eventual 4A state champion Wildcats. After the win in 2001, the Patriots won the next 6 meetings to take a 9-4 series lead. Starting with an 18-0 win in 2008 Jasper won 6 of the next 7 meetings to tie the series at 10-10. Since then, the Patriots have won 4 of the last 5 meetings. This season Jasper is averaging 31.6 ppg and giving up 14.4 ppg, while the Patriots are averaging 51.2 ppg and giving up 9.8 ppg. Since the all-in playoffs started in 1985, this is the 27th time the Patriots have advanced to the Sectional Championship. Both the Patriots and Wildcats are among the all-time leaders in sectional titles in the Evansville area. As much as I'd like to agree with you, as a 4 year NAIA player, DII is defitinely better. A good example is UINDY beat #7 Marian 45-21 week 1 of this year. I think there are definitely some NAIA programs that can beat DII programs, don't get me wrong. But if you are comparing the top teams of each, DII is defintiely better.1 point

East Central also benefits GREATLY by having all the execs who choose to live in “rural” Indiana versus the city and the GCL. Plenty of cash around the St Leon area, facilities second to none, and they love their Football over there. Always loved working at EC.1 point

The Sectional Championship games look to be very interesting. There are both expected games and surprise games. It was expected that Mississinewa and Luers would play for the title. Does Mississinewa have what it takes to beat Luers? Remember last year Luers took off the first half and built up a sizeable lead to the point it was almost a running clock and then Mississinewa came back in the 2nd half and closed the gap to where the loss by 1 score and was going for the scoring drive when time expired. Those Seniors are gone as well as the high scoring offense. Luers not had players graduate but many transferred out. Luers plays the tougher schedule and is the best 6-5 team in the State. This should be a State Finals atmosphere at Mississinewa this week and the new Jumbo Tron will get a work out. If you haven't seen the Jumbo Tron, you are missing out as it may be the biggest high school scoreboard in the State. Twin Lakes and Western will be a good game. Twin Lakes has a legendary coach while Western has an upcoming legendary coach who's dad was a legend. Western has turned around the program in a year while Twin Lakes has built a program in 3 years. This one will be a good one to watch. The winner gets to play the winner of the Mississinewa/Luers game. Knox and Mishawaka Marian could be another blowout by Knox. The question is does Marian have a defense that can slow down Myles? The real question is does anybody in 3A have a defense that can keep Myles contained? Garrett and Angola played earlier this year with Angola winning by 3. This is an evenly matched game and with Angola having a very experienced coach and Garrett having a young coach. This one is a draw as to who pulls out the W. At this point in the season what are the injuries like for all teams?1 point

The kids and Mr. Foxworthy do an awesome job. This was homecoming last year. They set up a "GameDay" type set up.1 point

He'd likely be ranked higher, but you also have to wonder if he'd have the success that he has had. Not very many teams in 5A and 6A would likely do very well running a direct snap offense. I'm not taking anything away from Myles, but his career would likely look different if at a bigger program. This is why it's so hard to compare athletes across different classes.1 point

Or. The young man just wants to finish his playing days at the HS level. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.1 point
