  3. With this victory, I hereby declare the contraction movement dead. This game was proof positive that rural schools with limited numbers and resources can get it done. I salute the Panthers. I bet you can find it on YouTube.com. Do I have to do everything for you?

  4. I never thought I would ever see a 1A beat a 6A...2020 has been one for the books already! 😳

  5. Congratulations to Brownsburg on the huge win! Way to represent for Indiana High School Football! Really hoping we get to see Center Grove vs. Brownsburg in November.

  8. Same old X. Not flashy. They just out-execute you. What’s impressive to me is that this is their first game, and Brownsburg ’s second. I’ve heard a lot of coaches say you make your most improvement from your first to your second game. Brownsburg is clearly very good. They’re actually playing toe-to-to with X, for the most part. If you’re a fan of Ohio high school football, be sure to catch defending big school champ Pickerington Central opening up against crosstown rival North at noon tomorrow on one of the ESPN channels.

  9. It looks like SV is flexing their D1 talent through the WRC so far. 97 points in 2 games and their starters have only played 4 quarters. The Wolfs look to be dominant again. I wonder if they saw what Pioneer did to 6a Chesterton? And I was a little surprised with the Herbie score. Maybe the Herbies still had some guys out on quarantine? RP-Attica Monday....in what could be one of the best/worst WRC games of the year!

  10. There is no restriction on players of the kicking team releasing downfield prior to the punt. When I saw the heading “Rugby Punt,” I was preparing for a question on roughing the kicker. Lot of misconceptions about how that works with the rugby punt.

  11. Isn’t enrollment what defines class primarily??

  12. Yes, 1A LCC played 6A Jeff in 2017. LCC and Jeff are roughly one mile apart from each other down Teal Road in Lafayette. Jeff won 54-0. This was the year that Coach O'Shea left and LCC went 2-7 in the regular season and finished the season 4-8 dropping the sectional final to eventual 2017 state champs, Pioneer. In that year, Jeff went 10-1 dropping the sectional final to Carmel.

  14. I would say the Jack Kiser led Pioneer panther team his SR would be who'd I vote for as best Pioneer team, over the 1997 team.

  15. Snider will have trouble with any quarterback that has college potential. About all they can do is grow, learn, and look toward the playoffs. Snider has some good players and last night I saw some glimpses of what they "could" be. Last night's game didn't have to be as lopsided as it was. Snider just couldn't catch a break it seemed. I think they'll close the gap with Carroll come playoff time.... ..............if the players want it bad enough. Snider's biggest problem is lack of swagger. They need a chip on their shoulder like they had when Isaacs was head coach. The "all business" approach is fine, but having swagger and attitude is better.

  16. Yet another example why the simplistic primarily enrollment base classification system used by the IHSAA is flawed. It's overwhelmingly about program, not size. And only a system of promotion and relegation would crown a true Indiana state football champion.

  17. So I guess this elevates Pioneer to the poser child position for small schools everywhere. They are a 2A school even though they may have a 1A enrollment. Still it's impressive to beat a top 25 6A team. They'd get my vote now for #1 in the 2A polls. Congrats.

  19. Different subject, Didn’t SV leave the conference a few years back? I was gone from the area but I thought I remembered that. If so why did they return? Lack of success, travel, or something else? like a previous poster said. Sv should be in contention for the title year after year. Does it benefit SV to play 1A schools for a conference title, but then struggle in their class in sectionals?

  20. Kind of like several artist who post their music for "free" or, more specifically, state "pay us what you think it's worth." Would also be smart to have the merch available online as well at that point. Between probably donations/payments could probably also move some additional merch that way.

  24. I guess the region is inferior to rest of the state. I guess we will stick to being the economic engine and cultural center of the state.

  25. Really? I mean I pay $10 for a family of 4 to watch. Im saving money. Not counting the fact im not buying food or anything at the game or gas to drive there. Dont know why you wouldn't do it if you were willing to go to the game.

  27. 28-8 New Pal final. Dragons very rusty on offense as expected. Secondary struggled a little as expected(graduated top 8 DBs last year) but all things considered a decent performance against a good, not great opponent.

  29. It’s the year of Covid. I don’t blame them. Attendance is limited and schools are losing money. This is a good way to pay a little for a quality streamcast.

  31. Just kind of my personal gig. I always figured that if I really disagreed enough with someone enough to give them a downtick I, at least, ought to talk it out. If not, then they just weren’t worth the time to give a downtick to anyway. Again, that’s just me....

  32. Part of the downtick IMO is Howe has discredited the CDC but still uses their data in arguments... that and he rarly comments on the real topic, always has to be political and people are tired of it(part of the reason why so many topics have been closed in the past.

  33. I work in health care - not direct though but have worked and worn a mass daily. All you have to do is follow the guidelines. Wear a mask in public. Do not cough or sneeze where particles go into the air/cover it. Wash your hands and sanitize. But too many do not feel they need to do this. And will people who have symptoms report them?

  37. https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/23/politics/kellyanne-conway-george-conway-white-house-lincoln-project/index.html Washington (CNN)White House counselor Kellyanne Conway announced Sunday evening she will leave her post at the end of the month while her husband, George Conway, said he was withdrawing from The Lincoln Project, both citing a need to focus on their family. "I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month. George is also making changes," Kellyanne Conway said in a statement. "We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and 'tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids 'doing school from home' requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times." George Conway tweeted minutes earlier that he was withdrawing from The Lincoln Project -- a group formed by anti-Trump Republicans -- to "devote more time to family matters." Kellyanne Conway is scheduled to speak at this week's Republican National Convention, but it's unclear if she will still do so. One of the Conways' high school-aged daughters has generated attention on social media about her family and their political views over the last several months. The Sunday evening announcement marks an abrupt end to Kellyanne Conway's high-profile time in the White House where she earned a reputation as one of the President's fiercest -- and most controversial -- defenders. She landed her position in 2016 after becoming the first female campaign manager to win a presidential race. But political tension with her husband had spilled into public view in recent years. A Washington lawyer who was considered for multiple Justice Department posts early in Trump's tenure, George Conway quickly emerged as a prominent critic of the President. He's previously said that Trump is "guilty" of being unfit for office, called for Congress to remove the "cancer" of Trump from the presidency and openly questioned the President's mental health. His opposition took on new meaning when he joined The Lincoln Project. Each of the Lincoln Project principals had aligned themselves with the "NeverTrump" movement in the 2016 election and have been outspoken critics of Trump and the Republican Party ever since. Trump himself rebuffed George Conway last year, labeling him "Mr. Kellyanne Conway" in a tweet. Earlier Sunday, George Conway had said in a tweet thread "I *may* be taking a Twitter hiatus soon" before listing out some of his critical op-eds about the President. Still, Kellyanne Conway maintained in her statement Sunday that "the incredible men, women and children we've met along the way have reaffirmed my later-in-life experience that public service can be meaningful and consequential." "For all of its political differences and cultural cleavages, this is a beautiful country filled with amazing people. The promise of America belongs to us all," Kellyanne Conway said. She also stressed that the decision "is completely my choice and my voice." "In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama," she said. I wonder if the feminists would ever drag Mr. Conway through the mud since he has forced the first female Presidential campaign manager to win an election out of her job to stay at home.......over politics......
