It was a fun game to watch, unless of course if you're a fan of defense.  But the Irish actually played some 4th quarter defense to pull this one out.  It seems it's always fun when these two teams play.

If there was an MVP in this game it would be the huge Col. North o-line which opened big holes during the game. A couple of short field TDs late in the game, pretty much sewed up the win. 

The refs were trying to be the MVPs for B South. Never seen this kind of blatant one sided calls. 17 penalties against North vs 2 for south. Called holding on that MVP O line but the South O line was hanging off the arms of Saevre almost every play.
 

Never seen a ref throw a ball in anger at a football player either.  Bounced the ball at his feet and the ball boy was standing next to the player with his arms stretched out to catch it. Refs fist bumping and hugging South players. It was so weird!

Lol, yes. Reality? Columbia City rolled through the first half of their season like this last year as well. The meat of their schedule is at the end. More losses looming for the Eagles.

I’m going to take a look at the Hudl video for this game. Are there specific calls that you disagreed with? Or was your rude post simply to express dissatisfaction with the imbalance in the # of flags on each side?

They will still garner his ire as he's created a section in that thread when two teams score too many points and he calls it cr*p to paraphrase.

It’s kind of a standard Brebeuf game at this point. This is the third time this year they’ve had 49 at half. This one and the Geurin one stayed close so they kept scoring in the 2nd half. When they played Lafayette Harrison they had a decent lead and played the JV the whole 4th qtr.

Their offense is unreal for 4A. If you look at their scores, they average over 40 a game but one game was called at halftime because of lightning so they only had 27. Last week they only had 18 but they were playing in a monsoon and the other game they were under 30 was against a school 6 times their size.

If Brebeuf even had a mediocre defense, they would be a clear #1 in 4A. Unfortunately they might have one of the worst defenses in 4A so every game is like this.

True story. And East Noble is 14th this week. That's fourteen places higher than the team they lost to by 25pts. 

I like Sagarin. It's fun. I appreciate that Jeff does this for Indiana high school sports. I'll never say that it's not worth looking at, because I do all the time. But it can only absorb 10% of your calculation when coming up with a real poll.
