  1. I think he’s being sarcastic. I swear to God he is. The last 2 years the southern boys said Liptons or Madder Days would win it all.

  2. the OT from Mt Carmel was there last year but hurt his shoulder in summer session and was out for the entire year, but he has been at Andrean now going on 2nd year I see a theme there of 3 of the 4 teams receiving "transfers" I stopped caring about where kids are going to school long ago. Look forward to the challenge of attempting to knock off the 59ers, last year was quite the track meet

  3. South Adams will be an absolute bear to deal with this year. They return a ton of talent and IMO it was a huge shock/upset them losing last year(but that's what makes the tournament great because on any given Friday night anything can happen). I would put it 1. South Adams 2. LCC 3. Adams Central I think the semi-state (potential) game of South Adams vs LCC could be an incredible match up.

  4. I think any school in Indiana with the name Rebel or Redskin should change their name. Just my thoughts.

  5. I'm fine with "Rebels" as long as it has nothing to do with a soldier or the Confederacy. Redskin is too racist for my tastes.

  6. It was a great interview, but I actually like this one better. Chris and Nathan really calls him out. https://www.regionsports.com/2020/06/09/football-four-down-territory-6-5-20/

  7. Andrean would best both these teams based on last year and what happened in offseason. Western Boone and eastbrook are also favorites over these two

  8. Last minute of the interview coach Radtke states, “We are in it for the long haul.” What a bunch if BS.

  9. You nominate yourself for the Hall. He is obviously a shoe-in, just hasn’t filled out the form to do it. I believe they discuss that in the interview. He mentioned that he felt there were assistant coaches that deserved to go in before him. Russ is just chasing Bud at this point. He’ll have a loaded gun to start his reign with the Redskins.

  13. The Dragons are the champs until they get knocked off. They deserve that top tier status. However, it’ll be a lot more challenging this year for them and I think 5A will be an exciting class to see who makes it to Lucas Oil

  14. The Red Devils are always a solid team. One of the top programs in the area, year in and year out. I'd venture they've earned the right to be considered a contender.

  15. Following Brooks’ Dec. 2018 arrest, Judge Jennings of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas gave Georgia officials a 14 day deadline to make arrangements for Brooks to be transported to their jurisdiction. “It is ordered that the Defendant be held no longer than 14 days pending the arrival of the State of Georgia’s agent. Bond is ordered set at $25,000 no 10%. Defendant is remanded into the custody of the Lucas County Sheriff’s Department.” The court issued a new order on Jan. 10, 2020 indicating Brooks made it back to Georgia four days earlier. “The Court being notified that the defendant, Rayshard Brooks was obtained by the demanding state on January 6,2020, this case is dismissed” Judge Jennings wrote. WHAT’S MORE, Brooks was convicted of several crimes — including obstructing an officer, family battery violence, possessing weapons during a crime, receiving stolen property, felony cruelty to children, interfering with custody, false imprisonment, snatching his children without permission from the mother, and battery. President Donald Trump on Monday called the police shooting of black man Rayshard Brooks “disturbing” and a “terrible situation.” Trump said Monday: “I thought it was a terrible situation. To me it was very disturbing.” The killing sparked protests at the Georgia Capitol Monday. “Rayshard Brooks drove drunk, resisted arrest, assaulted two cops, stole a taser, used that taser on a cop, and has a long and extensive criminal history.” TB Daily News reported. “He’s been charged with false imprisonment, battery on a family member, cruelty to children, theft, receiving stolen property, interference with custody, obstruction of an officer, and a handful of other misunderstandings.” Brooks’ family have demanded changes in the criminal justice system and called on protesters to refrain from violence amid heightened tensions across the U.S. three weeks after George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis. Brooks tried to flee after wrestling with officers and stole a stun gun from one of them. Police had been called to the fast food restaurant because of complaints that a car was blocking the drive-thru lane. An officer found Brooks asleep in the car. Video from officers showed Brooks cooperating with the officers for more than 40 minutes until a breath test determined his blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit. When one of the officers moved to handcuff him, Brooks tried to run and the officers took him to the ground. Brooks broke free and took off with a stun gun but was shot. Rolfe told authorities that Brooks had fired the stun gun at him. Asked why Brooks ran, family attorney L. Chris Stewart suggested that he may have feared for his life. “They put George Floyd in handcuffs and he was subsequently killed,” Stewart said. “So just getting put in handcuffs if you’re African American doesn’t mean, oh, you’re going to get nicely taken to the back of a police car.” Chassidy Evans, Brooks’ niece, said Monday: “Not only are we hurt, we are angry. When does it stop? We’re not only pleading for justice. We’re pleading for change.” SF wonders why this information isn't out there......Going back a long time, he was on the PD's radar as a law breaker.....Literally had to look deep to find this.....He was a fugitive as late as December and on probation for child abuse..... The guy actually drove to Wendy's drunk. Then passed out in the Drive-thru....... We are really overlooking this fact? So - after stealing an arresting officer's taser, running away after assaulting the same, he gets shot, what would the public think had he just injured or killed someone by DUI and committed the same assault on the officers? All we are being told is "he was just getting some food, now he's dead". Seriously - this thing goes to court, and those officers (instead of murder) are found they were just doing their job with a drunk probation violator who just assaulted them and stole a weapon, we are back in the "bad cops get all the breaks" argument again....

  18. Fun game to watch, neither defense could stop the other offense... take those fumbles away and that would have probably been a wild finish! Anxious to see how Valpo/mville game goes, Hobart/Andrean could be a doozy too. Will Lowell be a player this year?

  19. Curious to see what happens between 2 & 3. South Adams may get revenge this coming season, but maybe not. South Adams is still in that 2 year run window they expected. Adams Central has a really good freshman class coming in. Lose some key seniors, but have some good players coming back.

  21. Certainly makes the road easier for northern powers Penn , Snider, or whoever comes out of the Duneland. Some on here will call BS, but I prefer the Greyhounds stay north. The regional will be less interesting without them there. I will miss the Snider/Carmel match-up. Lopsided as far as wins and losses go? Sure. But very competitive games nonetheless.

  22. I agree with your take on Brownsburg and Avon in the 5A Thread. These two walk with a big stick, but still can't get over the MIC hump in the playoffs. Well, more so Avon. Brownsburg can't get around themselves when they do finally beat Avon in the playoffs. Brownsburg once again opens with Ben Davis and St. X. Avon has LN and Ben Davis. Solid opening tests for both programs.

  28. No body is gambling anything by reopening. I remember when the scare was hospitals being overwhelmed. Once it was clear that would not happen, the goal posts moved to get rid of it altogether. Now that we opened back up, you are going to soft play it again and say, it’s only a Safety measure to avoid overwhelming the hospitals and then you will move to we have to have a vaccine and on and on. We need to live ours lives not in fear unlike your wishes for everyone. Take a hike.
