  1. That’s what we get for soccer player homecoming winners. Back in my day we gave it to a football player and cheerleader like God intended.

  5. Point 1: Correct - only 1 Sectional Championship ever in school history. Prior to 1998, the Tigers had never won a single sectional game. Point 2: Uh... yeah... kind of makes sense since the only other big schools around are Penn or in Fort Wayne that they would be who ends Warsaw's seasons... Point 3: Conference affiliations are more than just football. Many Tiger sports have competed against non-NLC foes in their regular seasons with the likes of Penn, Elkhart, The Region, and Fort Wayne area schools. Those sports benefit from having longer seasons/more opportunities. Football is more difficult with only 9 games to be able to add those non-conference opponents. Point 1: I can never remember a single season in which NorthWood ever had "double" the amount of kids on a sideline compared to Warsaw in my lifetime (30+ years). Equal amount of kids? Yes. Double? Absolutely not. The Tigers have rarely ever had "numbers" issues. But it is surprising that they rarely seem to have the number of athletes that similiar schools of their size (other 6A/5A norther teams) have. Point 2: I agree wholeheartedly with you here. Pounding week-over-week with Carroll, Homestead, Snider, Dwenger, Penn, Region teams... I don't see how that does anything to "develop" the program. Looks at some of the weaker schools in the MIC and HCC. What has a school like Noblesville done playing in that meatgrinder of a conference HCC? They have 5 sectional victories in the last 20 years. Has playing HSE, Fishers, Westfield, Brownsburg, Zionsville and Avon (all strong programs) benefitted the Millers at all? I don't think so. Point 3: In what world would Warsaw get dominated in every other sport moving to the SAC or any other large conference in the north? As previously stated, the Tigers play a majority of these teams already in basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc., and typically hold their own. I would say Warsaw competes rather consistenly with the likes of Penn, Carroll and Homestead in a variety of sports on both the girls and boys side of things. Michigan City has been a good add to the schedule. Chesterton the last two years was added when they were a 6A school at the time, but since dropped to 5A. As well, added perennial Columbus, OH area power Dublin Coffman a few seasons back. Next year, Warsaw starts a home and home with Warren Central, then I'm pretty sure after that home and homes with Ben Davis and Fort Wayne Snider. To me, adding these types of games in the non-conference are much better for the program than playing an entire conference season against the same teams they would have to face again in the post-season. Simply not true. As long as Warsaw has been a 6A school, they have never played a 3A opponent. NorthWood actually moved to 4A even before a 6th class was added. The only 4A schools on their schedule currently are Northridge, NorthWood, Plymouth and Wawasee. As well, in the 10 years since they have moved to 6A, they have gone "one and done" less than half those years (only 4 "one and dones" vs. 6 post seasons with at least 1 sectional victory) Everyone here acting like Warsaw is some huge 6A school that should be dominating in 6A football. It's mind baffeling. The Tigers have had more success in the last 25 years that they ever had historically. It started with Coach Jensen in the late 90s and Coach Curtis has done a tremendous job raising the bar even more during his 6 seasons at the helm. But as a reminder - Warsaw was the 30th largest school in the state during the last enrollment cycle. They were only 17 students away from being in class 5A.

  6. you just gonna have to edge for a few weeks to get that ultimate pleasure frm the bluejays. as for me, i find pleasure in the simple things: cracking open a log of skoal, mounting a sweat hog out on ten mile road, winning a $50 pulltab from the legion, and doing donuts in ross rattkeys driveway. keep edging and hopefully in a few weeks i can make muh way out to adams to mount up. until then just keep spankin.

  8. When Coach K lifts dumbbells, they get smarter. Then God said "Let there be light", and Coach K said "Say please!" Coach K doesn't flush the toilet, he scares the crap out of it. Coach K went skydiving and his parachute didn't open. He then took it back for a refund. Coach K once won a game of Connect Four in three moves. Superman wears Coach K Tiger pajamas. Coach K can make sticks by rubbing two fires together. Coach K has no chin, under his beard is just another fist with an equally powerful beard. Coach K can gargle peanut butter. Coach K picked an apple from an orange tree and made lemonade. Coach K is so fast he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head. When Coach K was a baby he farted for the first time, that is when the big bang first happened. Coach K was exposed to Covid-19. Covid-19 had to go into quarantine for a month. Coach K is able to build a snowman out of water. Coach K didn't call the wrong number, you answered the wrong phone. Coach K didn't cheat death, he won fairly and squarely. Coach K walked into chemistry class and ripped the Periodic Table of Elements off of the wall. Why? Because the only element Coach K needs is the element of surprise.

  9. I would ask why a mullet headed, Zubaz wearing, Fentanyl w/ wine cooler white trash high school hero would give two shakes? Take Lucy Draper back to the no tell motel, liquor her up with Zimas and get the hell out of here! Let people have some entertainment. It's always fun to speculate what conferences might be changing and who might be moving to greener pastures.

  10. @hhpatriot04 @Coach Nowlin @DK_Barons This is me begging you to leave this thread up. We’ve worked too dang hard to get to 163 pages. We HHC football fans don’t have much to cheer about but we at least have this thread. It’s the only thing we have on the rest of the teams and conferences in the state.

  14. I think he means when you complain about it every single week no one believes you. Hard to believe that referees from Scottsburg, Franklin, Terre Haute or name the city, get off work every Friday and say you know what I’m going to do tonight? Screw high school kids who play for Floyd Central. Tonight maybe they’ve missed some calls no clue as I’m far removed from being in the stands every Friday night. But it’s just not happening every single week or every time FC is in a close game or losing. Nothing personal I used to know lots of BNL folks who thought similar to how you think. It just doesn’t happen.

  44. I think that's a pretty good score on the Carmel/BD game Pike is going to really struggle against CG. 48 is kind. They really seem to struggle when they get down early. I expect this to be running clock city. I watched the Carmel/NC game on YouTube. NC really struggles on defense and can't get out of its way on offense. I don't know how they can stop an LC team that can look good at times. I like your prediction. Warren is a darkhorse in this 6A thing. Not saying they'll win it all, but I think they're coming along. Their defense is stellar and playing very well. Lawrence North just did not impress me at all. I mean, at all. I don't know if that's because Ben Davis is better than I think or if LN is just not. Warren 35, Lawrence North 14.

  45. A couple of move-ins and you can have a very good 1A team. The 3rd or 4th RB at Snider would be all-state at Blackhawk.
