I imagine the 2 minute drill in practice consist of the offense watching the qb run gassers.2 points

Well learned two things tonight…that Heritage Hills’ 2 minute offense just means their QB sprints to the sideline after each play instead of a leisurely stroll. And Willowdale Nursing home in Dale supplies the officiating crew!2 points

Yeah, thought someone might point that one out. Follow my logic here… Ben Davis had a let down after a big win over rival Warren and let a mediocre LN team hang around. Cathedral had a week off before beating up on a middle school, even though they had little choice. Meanwhile, HSE has played a meat grinder of a schedule thus far and passed all tests. 3-0 against teams in my top 11 and crushed a Zionsville unit that was feeling good about itself. As someone pointed out a couple of weeks back however I think one could toss teams 1-7 into a blender and make a case for any one of them to beat the other on any given night. Haven’t been able to say that since inception of 6A.1 point

Didn’t Brett law when mr football at Sheridan ? Just a opinion here but maybe when pioneer was up a ton at state you let those kids that took a beating against the varsity all year get in the game instead of playing the starters all game .1 point

Apparently the sagarin ratings did not believe the 35-12 win Triton had over Pioneer meant anything. Dropped from 5th to 9th in 1a. Trust me the Triton fans loved it! Had never beaten Pioneer before this year!1 point

The delay of game occurred when R6 ran with the ball after it was dead. Sorry, thanks for playing.😂1 point

It hurts because Floyd Central is one play away from beating Seymour. But on the other hand, could’ve been one play away from losing to East? But I agree with you guys. The HHC has become competitive and it’s actually enjoyable for a lot of people. You’re a better fan then I am. I’ll give you that. It took me going into the Lions den to earn some of my dignity back.1 point

Reitz shot themselves in the foot with the penalties against Lincoln. Don’t get me wrong, Lincoln played a great game, and the defense was locking down some aspects of the Reitz offense. Plus, the new defense was just starting to come together for the young panthers. Reitz was lucky to get that win, but I think the game is within two touchdowns now. And I don’t think grass was a factor. Field wasn’t sloppy. The play of Reitz was.1 point

Same. Does anyone have any insight into why Pioneer's numbers are down despite the fact that their enrollment has increased in the past few years? Why haven't any new Pioneer state championship signs been posted on the edges of town for any of the recent titles in four sports? Where is the sign bragging about Jack Kiser being Mr. Football? I was told before that it wasn't in the budget, but surely a few of the areas wealthy farmers and business owners could come up with the funds, right? Has it not been in the budget due to the recent field renovations? I bring this up because these are the types of small things that continue to motivate the students to pursue excellence. If I was a kid and saw a picture of Jack Kiser everyday, I would want to grow up to be just as successful as he was! Jack, as the first and only 1A Mr. Football, is a continuous inspiration to the entire community.1 point

There’s sour grapes to be found all over the country. Keep blaming those “dead weight” kids though…very classy.1 point

If Tigers start season healthy this would have been a matchup oh two 6-0 teams. That would of added a lot of juice to this game. Still going to be an electric atmosphere. North proving to be just another typical North team. I know people on here love coach P but coach Wilson was fired for consistently being .500. One could argue North has had as good as talent as any siac team the last couple of years1 point

This was a weird game. Not a good flow to it..especially in the 2nd half. Lots of penalties. It looked as if Lincoln might run away with it early, when they took the opening drive in easily for a score. Followed by a Harrison three and out, VL was moving again but (like last week in Paradise) turned it over deep in Harrison territory..this time an INT. From there the 1st quarter was all slop until VL righted the ship in the 2Q and poured on 21 pts before half. Harrison's lone score was a deep ball to Horn that he took to the house. That kid is a special talent. They've got a couple deep threats. Clements throws a pretty nice ball as well and moved well in the pocket. 2nd half was a penalty riddled grind, in which VL had little trouble moving the ball but just couldn't convert on many drives. A big part of that was the Warrior D. Harrison is exactly as I've seen advertised for 6 weeks now from others on this thread, and I think we saw that same version tonight. They just struggled to string positive plays together.1 point

Great win for the Highlanders. I did get to meet Coach Hess and Coach Bragg after the game. I couldn’t have met two nicer people to be honest. I know football. But these guys educated me on how things work around the program and I have a much better understanding. And I told them that I’d tone it down on here so I expect you all to hold me to it! Lol.1 point

Thanks! Radio on Jasper. Tv on Reitz vs Castle. Computer flipping between the other 2. I look forward to actually catching none of it while trying to watch all of it.1 point

(Note to self: Label my self-satirical humor when in a HH thread next time) 😁 No, sir. I proudly gots me edumacation from the Land of Lincoln. That's a totally different state than Indiana. On a more serious note, how much to get one of those pavers for the HH Hall of Fame Plaza? I have a design idea and a bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket:1 point

I would argue this play after the timeout was the “last one” that makes sense. If O had fumbled this snap and D recovered ball goes over and they have about 30 seconds and no timeouts. I’m not going to debate the “likely hood” of who might recover a fumbled snap in a “lower level” game. The fact this is a “lower level” game is why I’m more likely to think a bad snap could take place. now if you tell me O is up two scores…fully on your side. I also think it would be shady if they were going after the QB. But “firing off” through the OL when a bad snap could result in them getting the ball back with a chance to win?? That’s AOK with me. Still wondering how you would have addressed the unlikely fumbled snap had it occurred with the R and U in the way🤷🏼♂️1 point
