Honestly, VL's reported yardage was nothing more than an intentional clerical fudging. It was actually tabulated well into the red, and GS loaned Vincennes 42 points out of their 105-0 victory so that folks wouldn't think they were running up the score, resulting in a nation-wide "cancelation" of the rest of GS's season by the non-competitive woke crowd. I should know, I was there.

Agreed. I think his stats and going to 3 straight finals and winning two made a big difference. Bowen does not have the resume that Kiser did. I am also of the opinion that this award should go to the best HS Sr football player in the state. It is not an award for the best college prospect. People may think differently and that is OK.

You're right, my mistake, this was discussed already in the other thread. 3 big plays by Vincennes accounted for all 600 yards. Two of which were mistakes by the officials and the third the lights from the stadium got in GS players eyes. Somehow they managed to score 3 more TDs (unless my math is off). My apologies.

Sure, they have played Snider tough the last couple years and I have repeatedly said the winner of Snider vs. North Side has an excellent shot of playing for a state title. I believe, from the games I have seen this year, that Snider is the better overall team. North certainly has some excellent, highly recruited players that are tough to stop, but I trust Snider’s defense more than I trust North Side’s defense. As everyone says, both teams need to take care of business this week before worrying about a potential matchup.

Jaron's a team player, no matter what team he plays for. If numbers are the only criteria for Mr. Football, the odds aren't good for him. Of course he did have a monster game in last year's 5A state championship game, 10 catches, 210 yards and a couple of TD's. I'm glad the Irish have Ayers and Wooten to help them win game. For Irish players, the most important numbers are the ones on the scoreboard at the end of a game, in all sports.

Back 10 years ago when Indy hosted the Super Bowl, the NFL put money into Tech's stadium. I think that is something they do in every SB host city.

I'm paying close attention to the Madison-Grant at Northfield game since AC will play the winner if they take care of business on Friday against SA. John Harrell has MG 35-24 and I agree that they should win the game, but Northfield is a difficult team to prepare for. Their offense can cause teams problems if they don't have the proper defensive scheme to handle the option. This may be a mistake, but I'm sort of rooting for MG. Northfield has given AC issues in the past even when they were clearly the better team.

Last year with Dwenger the talent was pretty close, not this year. The game is won in the trenches and Snider absolutely dominated the Saints in the first meeting. Throw in the fact that Snider has more speed and the passing game is far superior to Dwenger and I see the same result as the first game. As far as North Side goes, Snider has superior depth compared to North Side and I think that will wear down North Side in the 4th quarter, but we shall see.

All right guys....here's the winning picks. I did the research, talked to the coaches, evaluated the rosters, and read DTs interviews. No stopping me this week North Posey at Paoli- After running the flex all season Paoli comes out 5 wide and refuses to run the ball. Forcing North Posey to do the same. Its a firework show. Big 12 would be proud. Not a single run happens in this game and the rams pull it out in OT 70-69. Providence at West Washington- All 3 of Providence seniors are scared to death. They've never seen a grass field. They are scared to step on it. After Coach Lowery leaves the hose on all night Thursday only 1 team can handle it. WW leads 70-0 and only the final play JR QB Kenton Chase takes the ball and kicks in backwards in celebration giving Providence a safety. Final Score WW wins 70-2. East Central at Silver Creek- East Central comes in the favorite and plays like it. They literally leave the varsity behind and let the JV play. They didn't wanna risk an injury but the problem is Silver Creek started basketball prep. Neither team wants it. Silver Creek accidently makes a 63 yd FG. Wins 3-0. Corydon at Southridge- After Corydon coaches watched the film they had a defensive revolution.....youre allowed to play 11 guys. They let 23 yr old senior LB Frank Smith play for first time and he completes the defense. Southridge can't handle it. He finishes with 20 tackles, 8 for loss, 4 sacks, 2 FF and 2 INTs returned for Tuddys. Corydon wins 14-0. Heritage Hills at Charlestown- Last year Charlestown sent an OL to Kentucky to battle in the SEC. Little did everyone know they stole his DNA and the clones are complete Wednesday. After a day of practice the new OL is ready and they run QB sneak all game. HH gets 3 possessions all game but on final play Charlestown gets the score and the 2 pt conversion. Charlestown wins 22-21. Triton Central at Brownstown- Reed May has been a legend. This night he adds to it. After all week in the lab studying film he comes up with ultimate game plan. He pays the refs. Triton Central racks up 230 yds of offense but 290 penalty yds on 31 accepted penalties. Luckily it's at Brownstown so the only Victim is the Triton Central bus on the way back that the players destroy. Brownstown wins 24-20. There it is. Clean sweep for our conferences. This could be a complete swing and miss… GS 2022 reminds me of EM 2019. Big names graduating after state title(s) runs and some questions that needed answered about who’s the next man up. Almost feel like underdogs most nights because most outside of the inner-circle of Titan football expected a let down. Im sure Titan32 and others felt different. I had no doubts in 2019 the Tigers would make a deep run when many thought that was it. Im sure GS vs OV will be a good game with lots of big plays. Tournament wins on the road are never easy for high school teams this time of year.

Back in week one, when Westfield played them at their place, the announcers said the same thing. I know Westfield coach Jake Gilbert said that prior to last week, they were 5-3 with all three losses coming to undefeated teams, New Pal, HSE, and Brownsburg. He mentioned that New Pal was the best of those teams. Guess we'll never know for sure. And Bud Wright keeps on winning. This was his 100th playoff win!

First, you understand that when there’s a potential injury involved, the officials are going to err on the side of caution. So, regardless of the circumstances, you have to take it seriously, when a kid goes down. If I were absolutely sure the kid was faking, e.g., I heard his coach tell him to go down, I’m ignoring it. If one of the other crew members stops the clock, I’m going to start it again. If they’ve finagled it so that they are going to be able to run another play when they shouldn’t be able to, I’m going to use the “God rule,” and end the game. But I have to emphasize, if a kid goes down, we’re going to take it seriously until there’s clear and convincing evidence to the contrary.
