  1. Ben Davis knocked off Moeller but St Edwards absolutely dominated and just pushed Center Grove around in Canton today...St Edwards is stupid good respect all these teams playing out of state road games against this level of competition

  4. Congrats to Snider and fans on here . Impressive to say the least . I realize it's only one game but the Panthers look the part in taking 5A this year.

  6. You and your stupid receipts…as if posts on here making predictions were a standard, or absolute. I live in Allen County….I do not make predictions. I was not surprised by the outcome….how’s that for a receipt? 🤡

  11. OK, I can see there’s no use having anything like an intelligent dialogue here. May I ask what the vantage point was for your observations? Sideline? Pressbox? Grandstand? Video stream? And it’s “encroachment.” Not offsides or a neutral zone infraction. You’re welcome. 😉

  12. I guess I should of said they look like the best team this week. I was Commenting on temp's week one list not who will be #1 at the end of the year.

  14. I meant my comments as an ultimate compliment to St. Ed's. What an excellent looking football team. I am sure they will improve as the season progresses and playing the Trojans will benefit them as well. Coach Moore plays for season's end. I am confident many of the young guys will develop. I used to think the gauntlet of Warren, Carmel and BD in the first 4 games of the season couldn't be more difficult and developmental for a team...until this season! Wow, what an opening schedule for the Trojans!

  15. If Moeller really is #2 in Ohio, just hand the Indiana trophy to Ben Davis now.

  17. ^^^some people just have to be difficult 😂. That said I like the name. Still think they need to find 1 or 2 more teams. 6 seems like a small conference.

  18. Certainly agree that there's a size differential, but size has rarely been an issue for WL; especially recently. Against bigger schools, 5A and above, WL is 10 out of 14 in the last 10 years before this one. Of those four losses, the last ones before last night were a a 27-16 loss in 2020 and a 2019 74-66 loss. Of the remaining three, one was an overtime loss 35-28 in 2016, and a 45-37 loss in 2014. Toss in 4A Western and out-of-state Crete-Monee and the additional impact is an additional six wins and one loss against schools in higher classes bringing that higher enrollment record to 16-5 in the last decade. I'm in complete agreement with you on the lack of composure aspect and even mentioned it to my wife during the game and my son after the game. That just isn't typically seen exhibited by the team, but usually perhaps by a single player. It was also noticeable that the was not just an after-the-play kind of thing, but that it impacted the outcome of subsequent plays ... typically to the detriment. West Lafayette did look smaller on the line than I've seen before and what I saw missing this game was the traditional heavy hitter type backs that West Lafayette has used in the past to tighten up defenses which then allowed their passing game to slice-and-dice defenses. Guys like Mullis, although he was a QB later on, Blankman, Hood, Rolle, Woodard and the young man whose name escapes me right now that was the tandem back with Woodard although he was more lightning to Woodard's thunder. It seemed like a hard hitting running game was missing for WL most of the game. While the first half was pretty close, I think the difference that I saw was in the first half, Harrison was looking for that inside run ability and played the defense overly-cautious looking for that and that allowed a little outside stuff and short passes on the sidelines. In the second half, it looked like Harrison had made the determination that the heavy-hitting run game wasn't there and loosened up the defense a bit and that then played havoc with WL's pass reads. By the end of the game, the main passing play that I saw that was mostly effective was that little pass play to the outside shoulders of the inside LBs and, every once in a while, that fourth read sideline flair out when the deep patterns were shutoff. That loosened defense for Harrison basically ended up taking away that designed sideline down-and-out which was giving West Lafayette's offense some life in the first half.

  24. No, not the new offense, as stated, we only threw the ball 6 times (I think)...this is a much different team than last year.

  25. Good win for sure for the Snider program. I felt like they were dismissed after the 2019-2021 campaigns. As long as Tippmann and Isaacs are there, they'll be significant. From what I saw last night, this team has the potential to be one of Snider's better teams. Good defense and good running are pretty solid ingredients. I agree that most people around the state had Warren winning this game. Komets had Snider 28-27. Football Fans on Facebook had Warren by a count of roughly 32-8. Why Warren was suppose to win: How could they not with as many guys they have in the trenches with D1 programs looking at them. Coach Kirschner is in his third year at the helm and he has a pretty good track record. Why Warren lost: They had almost ZERO experience returning from their skill position guys on offense. Everyone just expects Warren to reload. Furthermore, I'm not sure anyone realized how good Snider's defense really is. Tough way to start for a bunch of new skill guys. I'm sure Warren will be a different team by Week 10 after these new guys get some reps in.

  26. And let’s not forget this is a staff and team that lost to Stanford and Marshall last year. For them to go 11-1 would mean the staff would have improved as much as the team. I’m not saying they can’t or won’t but the schedule is pretty tough. And let’s say they do knock off Ohio state, how will the team respond to that type of success? Too early for me to make a prediction but at this point from last season: the quarterback position is way better. Running back has a lot of depth and should be better. Offense line should be solid, great at tackle and center but maybe questions at guard, major questions at wide receiver and who will be Hartman go to guy, tight end loses Mayer but young guys ready to step up. Defense line has a ton of depth that could be surprise of team; linebackers should be ok, corners have most talent in quite some time and safety room should be improved from last year. Add in 2 transfer kickers so special teams should be good. If I had to make a prediction I’d say 10-2 but 9-3 wouldn’t shock me with the schedule. Anxious for the game next Saturday in Ireland vs Navy

  28. I see you have reading comprehension issues. When did you becomes the posting police? Setting standards for who is allowed to post on a topic? Why is there a need to offer insight or predictions in order to post a comment? Using rankings….funny They are so accurate…especially before a game had been played. I did not say anyone who was surprised by the result is a clown. I referred to YOU only as a clown for these continued idiotic responses.

  29. You should have a higher self esteem. I don’t really think you are a jerk. In fact, I don’t even know you…though it does seem you are a very unhappy individual in life. I hope you find happiness…a break from this board and an increased dosage of meds is probably a good place to start.

  30. As one who is often accused of hyperbole, I’m not sure even I can disagree with this statement. There was not a more surprising score in the state last night than this one and I never thought I would type the following sentence but here we are… There was a noticeable difference in speed and strength on that field last night in favor of Snider. They were finishing runs well into the second half and punishing Warren at the line of scrimmage. The even scarier part (as mentioned above) is that the Panthers made their fair share of mistakes and STILL blew out Warren. Take away Warren’s special teams score/pick 6 and this one looks even uglier..though I will also point out that Warren had a kick return that landed them on the 1 yard line called back. Might be a long year on the east side.

  31. JC RB Branden Braun had 15 carries, 156 yards, and 2 TDs on the ground. He also added 4 catches for 81 yards and 2 TDs. Elmore is a stud, but he isn’t the only one.

  33. Jennings County QB Parker Elmore is a stud. Second-year starter for the Panthers and only a sophomore. He can throw it and he can tuck it and run. He throws a risky pass at times but the kid is composed and confident in the pocket. His success will depend on the o-line and receivers around him so I shudder to think how good he’ll be in two years if he has help.

  36. This will be my 57th year watching Husky football. And thanks to my Dad for taking us to some Jackson Central Eagle games before that (Main one I remember was watching Leon Troyer at Eastern run roughshod through the Eagles, possibly '65(?). What a beast. It will be my first game of the last 9 seasons without being a parent of a player on the team. It's gonna be a tough one. Baby flew the coop yesterday by moving in at Ball State. Go Dawgs!

  39. I feel like until Goshen is competing for the top of the NLC and Sectional titles having 1 game against a team like Fairfield isn’t that big of deal. The rest of their schedule is NP and the conference. Playing FF opening week is likely not holding them back.

  41. I don't know a lot about the other teams in the NLC but I hope they all win except for Warsaw. (It's a Plymouth thing!). But I think that the Rockies will get a much needed win on Friday. Our numbers are the highest that I have seen in a while and we have some kids who have competed to get their spots and they will play their rear-ends off on Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing this group compete.

  42. Delphi - Just a small town boy. Livin' in a lonely woooorld! Rensselaer - Took a midnight train to the RMDs! (It's clearly the Monon Rail) Hamilton Heights - Huskies, just because I like their field. Twin Lakes - Respect the RMDs. Tigers have been down, O'Shea takes the first dub in his Monti-compton tenure. Central Catholic - Hearing strong things about the Knights. The Pats don't have Belli, but they do have some players. This could be closer than the experts think. South Adams - Hearing less strong things about the Blue Devils. Hope these are unfounded rumors, but taking SA here. West Lafayette - RDP names the margin. Eagles ain't buying the "we're young, but talented" stories. They'll be just fine. Tri-West - This is a tough one. W should be strong, but the Bruins play a good brand of ball. West Central - To quote Mickey the Mouse "oh boy!" Clinton Prairie - The Falcons might need QB Eagles Jr. to swing over in the transfer portal. Birds of a feather, and all that jazz. Sadly they haven't offered a good enough package for the little Tecmo zig zag protege. Gophers gonna burrow.

  43. Tests have shown that straight ahead speed in the 40 does not materially differ whether on short natural grass or artificial turf. However, change of direction speed is significantly faster on an artificial surface.

  44. I know there are certain high school state athletic associations who have barred their teams from playing schools like IMG for this exact purpose, Georgia specifically. I think Texas in another.

  45. I think if Ben Davis can muster more than 100 yards of total offense and/or score (while IMG still has their 1st/2nd team in) that's something they can always hang their hat on. This game has 42/49-0 nothing at half written all over it with IMG deciding how professional they are in the second half. I think the biggest win for Ben Davis would be IMG leaving town without poaching someone like Mark Zackery for next year.

  46. Oh, ANYONE is “allowed” to post on a topic but don’t expect anyone to take you seriously when you come on AFTER a game is over and talk about how the result did not surprise you when 99.9% of the state was blindsided by it. Rankings aside, Warren is an annual 6A powerhouse/blue blood who was just embarrassed on its home field by a school half its size. It does not take a genius to understand that this is a significant upset. I’ve got broad shoulders. I can be your guys’ new boogeyman. This board ran DT off because he hurt your feelings. I provide plenty of solid content and you don’t speak for the majority. I’m the clown but you’re the one doing the childish name calling here. Come on now. Do better as a “moderator.”
