  1. I read your post. Now go back and read mine. Nothing I said was negative about your post, nor sagarin. In fact I didn't even mention your post. I also didn't say their current SOS was wrong. Honestly, I have no clue wtf you're so butt hurt about...you're a little sensitive for me hoss.

  2. Best of all time? Always subjective. 2006 Warren Central might have an argument.

  3. Needless to say, the IHSAA frowns on such things. I would not be surprised to hear some discipline was imposed. Ironically, I suppose he was the one who read the mandatory IHSAA pregame announcement about sportsmanship and respect for the officials over the PA.

  4. Actually BD averaged 46 points per game. My bad. Here's the thing: In 2016 Linton won the 1A title and they outscored their 6 opponents 293 - 77 or an average of 48 to 12. Does that say that Linton should be considered one of the greatest of all time? Of course not. My point is you can't just say someone breezed through a tournament year to call them the greatest of all time.

  5. She will go down as one of the great Associate Justices in the history of the Court for her work on gender equality. And what is going to happen now with her replacement is going to be a real sh*t show, you can bet on that. When the dust clears, if Trump sends a nominee to the Senate, my money is on Amy Barrett from the Seventh Circuit.

  6. I would endorse the Yang system for Justice term limits. 18 year term, new justice every two years. https://www.yang2020.com/policies/scotustermlimits/

  7. Most likely Magic. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if MD reaches 18 points, could be a lot different factors. They were lucky enough to get to 14 against Jasper

  8. The point I made is the constitution does not restrict changing the number. The number 9 can be unfixed the same way it was fixed at 9. The constitution is not a barrier to that happening. ...and for the record I do not endorse changing the number for political reasons...or choosing justices either.

  9. The constitution does not restrict the number of Supreme Court Justices. Congress and the President set the number. A Biden presidency and Democratic Congress can up the number to any number they want. I'm not sure why they would stop at 13 and not just add a couple hundred for good measure. "The answer is that under the Constitution, the number of Supreme Court Justices is not fixed, and Congress can change it by passing an act that is then signed by the President. Article III, Section 1, starts with a broad direction to Congress to establish the court system: “The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”" https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/packing-the-supreme-court-explained

  10. Always remember, turnabout is fair play. Appoint now, and that 6-3 conservative majority can be a 7-6 liberal majority in two years. @Bobref as much as I lambast the Missouri Plan, a well-executed version for the Federal courts would be a positive improvement.

  11. I think both coaches are too smart to fall into that trap. Winning this game is meaningless without a blue ring.

  12. I just stay logged in, then refresh when I open again. Don't think I can see messages or notifications on mobile app, although I don't GET any messages, lol........so that really doesn't matter, I swear to god it doesn't.

  13. Credit to Mike Kirschner and John Hart for kind of setting this as the standard that both Coach Simmons and West have continued.

  14. If the NFL is like college or high school, it’s not a foul to have a pass hit an ineligible. It’s only a foul if the ineligible muffs, bats or catches the pass.

  15. Thank you for the well-explained comment. In reading and comprehending it, the Trojans are just another link in the chain, nothing more.

  16. That 2001 BD team outscored their 6 tournament opponents by a score of 279 - 83 or approximately a 49 - 13 average. The scores were sectional games: Pike 51 - 12, Southport 48 - 0, sectional title was Decatur Central 68 - 14, regional was Warren Central 56 - 21 (the season meeting was 38 - 28), semi state was Evansville Reitz 61 - 20, and the state final was 35 - 16 over Valpo. Not so sure you could just use these scores to justify making them the greatest of all time, but it was pretty much 6 blowout games during the tournament.

  17. There are many other teams from seasons past who would disagree. Being undefeated is nothing new.

  18. If this is truly the best team in the history of Indiana, they should still win comfortably without showing much. In all honesty, winner of this game probably has bragging rights the rest the year.

  19. I hope you continue to mentor as long as you can. Your knowledge and experience is invaluable to officials. I hope they appreciate and learn from it. When starting out in my trade, I always paid attention to the old timers, unlike most of my peers. They didn't want to hear what those old guys had to say. To me, that's where the best education came from.

  20. Love it. Definitely will be big underdogs in that one. Two monster challenges for the Irish upcoming the next two weeks with Cincy Lasalle and Elder. If Cathedral can scrape by, both schools should be Top20 in the country for that showdown. Hate to look ahead, but looks saucy. Praying for a lift on crowd restrictions by then too. The shamdemic is over.

  21. As good as they are, I’m not entirely certain they are even the best team in Indiana THIS year. Although, I think CalPreps/MaxPreps doesn’t update for a few days (could be wrong), they are (were) ranked 2nd in the State behind Cathedral. Admittedly, if CalPreps hasn’t updated, CG’s absolute spanking of a good North Central team (who is NOT the No. 2 team in the State.....they’re not EVEN the No. 2 team in 6A...where are you coming up with that?) could send them to No. 1. I’d hope that both CG and Cathedral will show all their cards and not hold back (and both be healthy) the last regular season game. To a point, that game IS the State Championship since neither are likely to be truly challenged in their own classes this year (with only the very possible exception of Brownsburg in 6A providing challenge to CG). For both pride and posterity, I’d really like to see both those teams give that game their all.

  22. Funny story about radio guys, last year I ended up with a fractured foot in our first game. I sat in the press box the second half. I kept my radio so I could help if they needed for penalty enforcement. The radio guys were sitting to my right and I had my ear piece in my left ear. So any call that happened I would give them the info. I don’t think they ever realized I had an ear piece in and was listening to the crew. I wasn’t even watching the game, I was watching our mechanics. They thought I was the Amazing Carnac when ever there was a flag, I instantly knew what it was. As the game wound down they asked me if I could come with them every week. The home town radio guys are homers, it’s high school sports, it is what it is, I’m just thankful they’re out there supporting our sport.

  23. As someone who throws flags, in many situations I prefer a late flag to an early one. Best advice most young officials need is SLOW DOWN, give your brain a second to understand what your eyes saw.

  26. Maybe the state of Indiana has a case of a team CG ,that out shines a mediocre rest of the 6a class. As with the 5a class.

  27. Kiser played great, got the game ball. Had 8 tackles or so and always seemed to be around the ball. My 2 takeaways from this game were 1. South Florida is really, really bad 2. The depth at Notre Dame has come so far, especially on defense. Had ND missed 7 or 8 guys the day before a game In years past it would normally be a scary situation. Granted USF is not very good but I saw a lot of young, first time guys making plays which was fun to watch.

  29. They did not do bad for student broadcasters. I have endured adults doing much worst. Have you listened to the guys doing the Boonville games? I think every flag thrown against the Boonville offense is a "late flag". I did think it was funny when the Jasper play by play guy pointed out that the Mater Dei QB has to run over to the sideline for every play. He then pointed out that the Jasper QB does not do that because he is smart enough to figure out what to do on his own and just calls his own plays.

  31. Oh THAT Memorial guy! LOL. I have never heard anyone do that and it could very well impact a team that makes adjustments at the line. I thought the rule was that all music and PA chatter must stop once the ball is blown in for play.

  32. I agree with that. Congrats to the Giants on beating the Warriors for the second consecutive season. First loss in eight years at Warren Central for the Warriors too. I find it hard to believe this rivalry used to be one of hatred for each other.

  33. Appreciated the effort but the trio of young men doing the broadcast could use a bit more knowledge about the game of football. Let's just say that talking about "Jasper has the ball at their 52 yd line" was the least of their worries. Congrats to Jasper on a nice victory last night.

  34. Always enjoyed the match-ups with the Alices during the series they had going a decade ago. It was a loss to SW Indiana football to see the program backslide, but now things seem to be headed in the right direction. Much like Mater Dei in 2A, Vincennes Lincoln could greatly benefit in the 3A tournament by playing in the SIAC if they can maintain depth and avoid injuries. I think the future is bright.

  35. No disrespect to Leo. But after having officiated the Mooresville game, its apparent that they do need to diversify the offense in order to compete against the best of Southern 4A. Mooresville is absolutely formidable! And with QB who is a Sophomore (WOW)... That's not going to change for the next 2 seasons. As for the SAC, I won't count out anyone...week to week. Its all about the 'scheme and matchups'... Glad that they are playing games, IMO!

  36. Please. There are 32 head coaches in the NFL. There’s only one Notre Dame head coach.

  38. I've read yours and why I was replying to it. I don't see why you are so upset (In your opinion) over Andrean's SOS being wrong. Like I said, take it up with Sagarin if you think it's wrong. I only used Sagarin's numbers. Not "butt hurt" or "sensitive" al all here. Don't try to make something out of nothing. Moving on.

  40. Go back and look at my original post. I did say I used this week's ratings and the ratings will change from week to week depending on the opponent. No need to argue that a team SHOULD BE higher. If you think it's wrong, take up the argument with Sagarin. It's his numbers that I used. Andrean at 171 didn't make the list this time. They probably will in the future. Linton sits at #130 this week but have all lower ranked teams left on their schedule. They will more than likely drop off this list after another game or two. Like I said, it changes weekly. And I DID say, "I was bored".
