Go soak your head. Your insights are so enlightening. If they can outscore the other team, they will win. If they can't, they'll lose. Holy crap Batman! Is that what it's all about? Did you learn football from Football for Dummies? Why not analyze SP offense vs. PH defense and vice versa? What are the matchups to watch for? Nah, I'll just contribute that the team who scores more points will win.3 points

I got to see my first ND usc game in person last season....Mike Collins has been great on the PA for so many years, but LOVED hearing the weather report, followed by "Trojan fans, you are NOT in Southern California".2 points

Like I said earlier, this is a measuring stick game for Bremen. Pioneer is the model for what many small schools want to emulate. Echoing what FinePrint has to say, Bremen plays with a chip on its shoulders and loves these kind of games. Bremen has to be perfect and get a few breaks. It should be a lot of fun. Wish we could have packed stands, because big games like this at Bunge Field are awesome.2 points

Coachspeak for sure! 😁 But Bremen is a proud football program and they won't back down from anyone! (Unlike many of the HNAC teams who are beaten before they walk on the field against Pioneer.) I expect them to be extremely well prepared and excited for the chance to make a statement. My head tells me Pioneer should win handily. My hunch says it will be a great game into the 4th.2 points

My hope is that we do things like we used to do. After a hard fought campaign, once the result is in, we all join forces and stand shoulder to shoulder and get behind whomever wins. At bottom, whether we’re Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, independents, etc., we’re all Americans. I just hope we act like it. Now, I’ll mount up on my unicorn and ride away.2 points

Does anyone else find it ironic that in major cities stores, restaurants and businesses are boarding up to protect themselves after the election from the members of the most tolerant, most inclusive, love everyone groups that have already destroyed so much in the name of "justice" and are complaining because the President "won't say he will accept the results of the election if he loses".....2 points

C’mon man! I highly doubt Wisconsin would cancel because they’re afraid of Purdue. Now they have no margin for error. There’s no more time for rescheduling, and if they miss another one — even if it’s the opponent who cancels — that would mean Wisconsin could not meet the B1G requirement of 6 conference games in order to be eligible to play in the championship game.1 point

You are correct...they are going for their first sectional title with a win It's all good. I was kind of surprised with that. Washington has two and Clay and Riley have one each1 point

Have you not been paying attention to games around the state? It’s not about capacity it’s the covids! STATE LAW!1 point

As of 10/19 (after Wk. 9), the top 4 in Sectional 24 were: #1 - Northview 69.26 #2 - Central 64.31 #3 - Jasper 52.10 #4 - Memorial 44.86 These 1/4 & 2/3 games were actually played in Round 1, with #4 Memorial beating #1 Northview 28-6 and #2 Central beating #3 Jasper 30-7. Any Sagarin numbers involving the SIAC or SAC were not real accurate at that time. After 2 tournament games, the numbers have gone up substantially. Central is now 86.93 and Memorial is 69.16.1 point

Exciting times for the region. If Chesterton and Merrillville win I think that’s a big statement for the quality region football compared to the rest of the northern half of the state. I picked Hanover before the tournament started but now I must agree that seeing Calumet pull this out would be great. I remember playing there when I was at Andrean, and a kid on their team broke his leg horribly because of the wretched field conditions. I saw last week they’ve got turf now. Coach Good has done a tremendous job with that program and the school is clearly supporting him. Hoping all these teams stay safe and healthy this week.1 point

The South is going to be fun to watch play out! I've seen both Mooresville and Roncalli, and both are well coached and both will be a tough out. Central is becoming one of the top teams in the SIAC with Memorial. Mt Vernon doesn't play the schedule the other teams do but they did beat Coach Ralph's New Pal team this year and that is always a big accomplishment. My guess is Mooresville will the representing the South this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of the 4 make the Championship. I just wish E. Central could have played Mooresville with all their players. I hate they had 10-12 players out when they played Mooresville. Also I think playing at home will have an impact on who wins the South. Memorial last year was able to play both the Regional and Semi-State at home. That is a huge advantage to play these games on your home field. Whoever wins the South will definitely be the favorite and will be battle tested.1 point

Finally . . . able to get the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to give me access to talk about my Tigers. Look here fellas, Old Joe Exotic knows many things, but the one thing he knows for sure is Lawrenceburg ain't losing to the Wildcats this week. Only thing STC needs to worry about is how many orders of Joe Joes he's gonna need for the ride home. And Art's gonna come on here and start talking trash cause he has plenty of time on his hands now to do so. Come on Art, braggin that EC is the "Big Brother" of the EIAC? That's like the only dancer at Connie's with implants braggin she gets more tips.1 point

It's unfortunate that Trevor Lawrence isn't going to play, but that news along with stud DE Xavier Thomas missing the first half for targeting gives ND a better chance to win. ACC football is not very good, ND has the best defense Clemson will have seen and Clemson is by far the best team ND will have seen. But as much as I've been anticipating this weekend's game, the only game that will matter will be the game in December. If ND doesn't slip up (BC, NC) these 2 teams should meet in the ACC championship with the winner moving to the playoffs. By then I'm sure Clemson will be at full strength. ND has a great defense and a solid running game along with offensive line, but the passing game is what makes me worried. Clemson is just on another level, and when they lose players they have a backup 5 start QB and a backup 5 star DL to replace them with. You'd think at some point ND will win a "big" game (Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama) and I hope Saturday is it, there's a lot going in ND's favor. But it's Tuesday and who knows what will happen between now and then.1 point

I understand that and don’t disagree as to the geography, but Chatard has listed on the roster for many years just where kids attended middle school - it’s a major point of pride at Chatard to win with their home grown kids (not that they’d exclude anyone who wants to come). I’d say well over 95% of the kids listed the last 15 years went to Archdiocese schools. And it has been pretty rare that a starter has come from the 5% that didn’t go to diocesan schools. I’d be truly surprised that, if any, there have been more than 3-5 Chatard starters over the last 10-15 years that attended public middle schools and would have gone to Tech. I’d guess they’ve lost a lot to Cathedral.....couldn’t (wouldn’t) guess as to Scecina....1 point

Absolutely. They truly are the party of hate. Using the old Nazi technique...blame others of being guilty of what THEY are actually doing. BTW Stock futures are up 400 points. This is NOT in anticipation of the left's candidate who ran his campaign on shutting down the economy. This is in anticipation of the RED WAVE that is hitting our shores. 50/50! Have a great day all. I know I will. God bless! He is the only one in charge.1 point

Are you friggin serious? I can't have an opinion that's different from yours? First of all - I DIDN'T have a say in her life, nor would I try to unless she asked. I love the person, not the (what I would consider) sin. If she were my daughter, we would still be having a beer, and I would have to learn to live with her choice. This is your problem not mine - you can't accept anyone's OPINION that isn't the same as yours. ("Critical thinking" Liberal logic)1 point

I'm sorry, anybody who votes for either of the uni-party candidates is really not a "critical thinker". Especially if they vote for a candidate that wants to add 11 trillion to the national debt. That's not monopoly money folks.1 point

No chance. And us “highbrows” would never get the opportunity to express ourselves, because there’s absolutely no possibility that ND is going to seriously consider a coach who has been featured in stories about player arrests, etc., at two different stops in his career ... I don’t care how many national championships he’s won.1 point

It reminds me of our time in 1A trying to get past perennial southern 1A kingpin Perry Central... they always ended out season, then we won and crossed that bridge. then we became the southern 1A dogs. I'll never forget a running clock at Perry in a post season game I just never thought I would ever see that happen in PC. Good to see they are back in the mix in 1A. But it also reminds me of the semi-state clashes with Ritter and Scecina.. and just never getting that big game. Now we sit in 2A... Both the Raiders and Wildcats have handled us these past years... we simply have to get to those standards to get to that level...1 point

Someone else will eventually have to beat MD at some point in this sectional. Linton is too good of a program to continually no-show vs MD. They’ll get it figured out soon enough. Maybe this year??1 point

They do have a beautiful campus near Mass Ave and great football facilities. It's one of the best environments in Marion County and would be awesome if the stadium was full. Schools with a large number of low income students have different challenges than most people realize if they have never been involved with them. Tech can be successful, but it takes a great coaching staff and non-pandemic circumstances.1 point

The Biden Protection Racket https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/10/the-biden-protection-racket/ Agreed. The unabashedly liberal MSM is treating Mr. Biden with kids gloves at a level they never extended to Mr. Obama and Ms. Clinton during their presidential election runs.1 point
