  2. guys late to the party 5a isn't objectively strong or weak this year, pretty neutral in comparison to most years the 5a is weak statements were due a few years ago and you missed the deadline.

  9. Yeah I’m not going that far. I appreciate your confidence but it would probably be 42-7 at best. North isn’t just on another level. They’re on three other levels.

  10. LOL...I keep forgetting he's even on the team. They love him for his veteran leadership. I believe he's one of the offensive "leaders" who called out Waldren last week for not holding players accountable for mistakes.

  11. Warsaw's starting QB was out of the game, and the Tigers suffered 5 fumbles on offense. That is taking nothing away from how well Plymouth played, but no team will win when they have that many turnovers. As well - Coach Curtis admitted as much in his post-game interview - I have no idea why Warsaw went for 2 points when they scored to take the lead with 2:45 left in the game. They were up 25-17, and an extra point would have made it a two possesion game. Instead, because Plymouth blocked two extra points earlier in the game, the Tigers went for 2 and did not get it. Ramirez is a heck of a QB for Plymouth and I think a 3 year starter. Congrats to the Rockies (they've earned to be called that by me now for at least a year).

  12. Kids Should Be Blindfolded and Dropped in the Woods at Night: https://reason.com/2024/09/28/kids-should-be-blindfolded-and-dropped-in-the-woods-at-night/ Yep, this almost constant supervision makes children weak and unsure.

  13. Locks......... Purdue Should win....... Northwestern Toss up...... Nebraska, Washington, Michigan Major upset........ Ohio State Not sure what qualifications are now for bowl eligibility, but 2 more wins gives them 7 and I know that will get them a bowl game. Getting in the 12-team playoff would be stupid in past years. But now, in the era of free transfers and NIL, yea even IU in the hunt for a national championship is now possible. Lord forgive me for even thinking that.

  15. The weather was on both of us....so it is what it is. Yeah, flags were ridiculous. As for next meetup, if that happens in sectional, it will be a completely different game no doubt. We can count on nothing as it pertains to Saturday if we get a round 2.

  17. Was a bit surprised to look in the box score and see Gibson had reached 150 in all purpose yardage. Very uncharacteristic of the usual Titan/ Patriot showdown. I'd say we'd better savor the flavor because a beatdown like that probably won't be something we'll see again with this matchup for many many moons. I don't like to complain about the officiating, especially in a game that lopsided, but some of the calls had me wondering if perhaps Patrick Mahomes was on the sidelines wearing maroon and gold. Much more could be said on the issue but I'll leave it at that.

  19. Weather obviously played a factor but that was just the 2nd time a Titan team was shutout in his Hart's tenure with GS? Sloppy game on both sides as far as penalties and turnovers, but that game wasn't even as close as the 28-0 final score in my opinion. I'm sure HH-GS will meet up again in the Sectional as we always do and I anticipate a better challenge next time.

  21. Yes Sir. The flow of the offense looked much better on the last drive of the 2nd quarter as well as 2nd half. It's clear they can move the ball if the OL can hold a pocket and Swift can run down field. I do have to throw out a negative though and wonder why CW and Moore are still having chemistry problems. That route Moore gave up on near the EZ could have possibly been a TD if he was in sync with CW. He lilved up to the hype today. Wow!

  22. 5A is a weak class. There are better teams in 4A. DC has 5 good skill players. If you get a whole team doing their job, then 5 guys aren't going to win a football game.

  23. I was really surprised. I figured that Floyd had more play makers. East had more yards given to them by Columbus North in penalties than actual yards earned. This conference has become very weak. Hopefully there is more young talent coming up with several HHC teams.

  26. Is Washington that good this year. Can they actually beat GS. Seem like they are scoring a lot of points.

  27. Ok, I am in on the Hoosiers folks. Here is the rest of the schedule: At Northwestern - 13 point favorite 85% chance to win Nebraska - 71% chance to win Washington - 73% chance to win Michigan - 68% chance to win At Ohio State - 17% chance to win Purdue - 94% chance to win Per ESPN analytics IU is a sizable favorite in every remaining game except vs. Ohio State. 11-1 would be incredible, but having watched every opponent on the schedule it is very doable

  28. I guess the point is that in the past 100 years every school has been an offender and a victim.

  29. Well, at least it wasn't as bad as in 1994. DeKalb beat New Haven 97-0 that year.

  31. I mean, Greenfield and Mount Vernon are not slouches and New Pal ran them off the field. Then you add in what Decatur Central has done since that head scratcher in week 1 and New Pal as a top 10 team makes sense to me. Those two were tied at 21 before the game was called. I could see New Pal putting a scare into teams ranked outside of that top 5.

  33. Why is no one talking about this kicker from Northwood? hit a 60 yarder a few weeks ago. Hit a 62 yarder yesterday for an IHSAA record and had about 8 yards to spare. If this kid lines up for a 70 yard field goal, there is a chance he makes it. Crazy. NFL record is 66 yards, both field goals would have been good from that distance.

  35. R.I.P to all the grass fields after today’s games. Won’t be recoverable after and hour or so of play. I’ll never understand the people who get enjoyment from playing/watching the game in mud/slop conditions. Like- you enjoy watching a subpar product and just overall misery?? Anyway- the show must go on as they say!

  36. I agree this could be a big issue. The IFOA just sent a notice for a couple games and I've received several texts or emails from others looking for officials. We have a fighting chance if the games are spread out over time and not all try to play at noon. The officials from up north can make some money tomorrow if they want to travel south! 50-60mph winds can create a lot of damage and dangerous situations. Many may remember the bleachers at Center Grove getting blown into the goal posts and knocking them over back in August. Power outages are expected tonight as well. It's not a stupid idea to put safety first and wait until tomorrow. Has nothing to do with actual playing conditions.

  37. 1. Sir I promise you I have forgotten more than you will ever know about filming a football game. My grandfather worked for Thomas Edison's company when he filmed the 1903 Yale-Princeton football game. My grandfather literally captured the first football film in history! 2. My father, who was a veteran of years of high school football filming, tragically slipped and fell to his demise out of a crow's nest while teaching a young man how to properly film a high school football game. He gave his life in service of filming football games. Put some respekt on my name
