Can you honestly post the drivel you've posted in this thread thinking either party has the moral high ground? Say for the sake of argument that Trump strong armed the Ukrainians into investigating Biden, you can sit there with a straight face and tell us that this is the first time anything of the sort has happened with any president prior? The bottom line is we had newly elected members of congress talking about impeachment the day they were sworn in. This has ALWAYS been the goal and once power was gained in the house in the 18 midterms the opportunity presented itself. This impeachment was always a foregone conclusion. This is and has always been a coup d' etat. The D's as I see it are doing everything in their power to insure four more years. As an aside, the D's have set the bar incredibly low with regards to impeachment, sadly the R's are just as stupid, and I'd be willing to bet the next D president will face the same crap. This is the new normal, a completely dysfunctional Washington.3 points

3 walk ons were key contributors to the success offensively for Purdue vs IU this past year. Center: SOPH Walk ON QB: RS SOPH WALK ON RB; Harvath: RS SOPH former walk on earned scholarship this past year: https://www.southbendtribune.com/sports/college/football/purdue-s-horvath-earns-respect-scholarship/article_d7dfa4a8-a5ba-55b1-a448-60f9c8a168fc.html I absolutely can see Spegal taking the same type of Path at IU as Horvath did at PU. Agree: I just read an article recently where Purdue Recruiting coordinator while at OSU was in charge of their PWO program and he was able to convince a couple 3 star kids to go to OSU instead.2 points

Charlie is a good "get" for IU. Believe me, he will find the field quickly and maybe gain scholarship after first/second year. Probably get redshirt, but you never know. Guys with that type of drive and background usually succeed.2 points

That's ok. I know how to use them as well! I live in South Bend. Work downtown. Vote in city elections. Pay property taxes here. If anyone would like to debate me on Mayor Pete's record in South Bend, I'd be more than happy to engage them fully on the matter in a more appropriate forum. I'm fairly comfortable I can speak to it better than most anyone who doesn't live here and particularly those that have only come to learn his name in the past year. If they want to get in a silly cycle of down-voting one another, I'm game for that too.2 points

Did it ever dawn on anyone he wants to attend IU and this is an opportunity to use his football skills to do that?2 points

School enrollments for the 2019-20 school year have been posted by the DOE. This year is NOT a “count year” for realignment, but these numbers may give some indication of enrollment trends and possible movement for the next alignment cycle. This year (19-20) is the first of a 2 year cycle, with the next realignment beginning with the 21-22 school year. Next year’s enrollment numbers (20-21) will be used to set the next realignment, not the numbers listed below. I included only schools that play football. A couple notes to make: Elkhart Central and Memorial will consolidate next year. If you look at the consolidations in Anderson, Muncie, and Parke County in the last decade, the consolidated schools have retained between 89%-93% of the combined enrollment of the 2 consolidating schools the year prior to merging. Using the middle of that range, 91% of the combined enrollment of Central and Memorial would put them around 2880 students. I think there will be some growth at Jimtown, Elkhart Christian (no FB) and possibly Northridge next year when the Elkhart schools merge. There are 4 IHSAA member schools (2 that have football) that do not share enrollment data with the DOE - Culver Academies, Park Tudor, University, and FW Canterbury. I left their enrollments as they were for last year. That isn’t accurate, but it “holds their spot” in the enrollment data. I included Dugger Union even though they are not tournament eligible to see where they would align when they become tournament eligible. I did include Hammond Noll, but did not include Wood Memorial or Trinity Lutheran. 1 Carmel 5400 2 Ben Davis 4554 3 North Central (Indpls.) 3747 4 Warren Central 3677 5 Fishers 3632 6 Hamilton Southeastern 3380 7 Pike 3364 8 Penn 3323 9 Lake Central 3256 10 Avon 3097 11 Noblesville 3026 12 Franklin Central 2936 13 Crown Point 2849 14 Brownsburg 2801 15 Lawrence North 2626 16 Center Grove 2604 17 Homestead 2480 18 Carroll (F.W.) 2442 19 Westfield 2419 20 Perry Meridian 2380 21 Portage 2372 22 Southport 2293 23 Lawrence Central 2290 24 Indianapolis Arsenal Tech 2129 25 Zionsville 2089 26 F.W. They’ve had far more D1 and lower level college talent the past 5 or so years than Buzea ever had. Bigger kids too. Portage has always had a Hispanic population. Not sure that’s an issue. That population pumped out some darn good football players over the years.1 point

What absolutely jumps out (and blows me away) from those numbers is that the 4A Champ only has 48 more students than the 2A Champ. Amazing. Honestly, just can’t give Memorial enough credit.1 point

Their senior class this year has around 450, and grades 9-11 all have right at 500. The 8th grade class from their 3 feeder schools totals 572. Not all of those will end up at Harrison, but even if it ends up being 550, that could be a net gain of 100 students. Two things may save them from 6A for one more cycle - Elkhart consolidation and success factor. They’ll probably be cheering for New Pal to win at least a regional next year.1 point
-
2019 State Champs 6A - Carmel - 5,400 5A- New Palestine 1,162 4A - Evansville Memorial - 584 3A - Indianapolis Chatard - 704 2A - Western Boone - 536 1A - Lafayette Central Catholic = 285 Add the enrollments of 3A, 4A, and 5A champs and multiply by 2. You would still be 500 students shy of Carmel's enrollment. If Carmel wins regional next year will they be success factored up to 7A? And Ev. Memorial is closer to a 2A enrollment than a 4A enrollment.1 point

I am a little shocked, thought he may run a few more good years together. But anyway, he was a real big contributor to Indiana high school football. Was president of football coaches association when Indiana High School prominence around the country was in its infancy. As we all knew back then, Indiana was a Basketball state, and all the athletes didn't play football. Well, with Dick Duligans great Ben Davis Teams, And Cathedrals great teams This started to get people around the state to notice there is another sport here. I remember towards the start of Dicks run at Ben Davis, when Bloomington South would regularly schedule them or Cathedral for preseason scrimmage, and stay right with them.. Dick picked up on Mo's new philosophy, No man plays both ways. As we know BD Kicked a lot of butt for several years, And this was also the start of many successful years for Myron(Mo) at Bloomington south also. Good luck to Mo, just don't become a personal financial advisor now. LOL d1 point

I know it's early in the season and Shenandoah is very good but WOW!!!!!! The Raiders won by nearly 30 over Alexandria in the Jungle!!!!!! Even though the Frankton Eagles are 2-2 I'm very impressed with Bobston's coaching and his son's talent/effort so far. The 2 losses were at home to Lapel and Tipton and the games came down to final shots at the buzzer. I don't know if they're good enough to win the CIC or sectional this year but it's a team full of juniors that are playing their first substantial amount of varsity basketball and I'm surprised at their ability. Ole Miss over Marion is a huge W for that school (again : ), Blackford has beaten several junk teams badly, Elwood is a dumpster fire it appears, MG and OH look to be competitive, Eastbrook is still recovering from football season and is an unknown at this point. This is shaping up to be the most wide open CIC basketball season I can remember. I see the potential for a co-champ situation and possibly a 3 way tie at the top when it's all over. Whoever wins the Blackford @ Alex game this weekend will have a huge step towards winning the CIC.1 point

Speaks even more for New Pal considering it's one, a public school, and two, has less than 1200 students. There have been a handful of HS coaches who have made their way to the upper levels, NCAA traditional DI, and the NFL, I would venture to say that if Ralph wanted it, he has proven he can do it.1 point

I will be very suprised if they make any decision before the end of the school year. If they do, my proposal would be to close Clay and Washington and combine them at LaSalle. It has the capacity to hold that many students while still giving a presence on the West Side. They are trying to get a referendum on the ballot for more property tax increases. I doubt if that will pass.1 point

Sheridan leaving was because of Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Track and Baseball coaches Some of those guys were on Coach Wright staff, some voted with him to stay, others crossed the picket line !! 😂 I run into Coach Wright throughout the off season at various things, and he always brings up how much he misses the Hoosier Conference1 point

Coach Wright was outvoted and the rest of Sheridan's Varsity coaches put up a stand and that led to them getting out of the Hoosier and into the Heartland. It was not a football decision I can 100% promise you that.1 point
