Saw this and thought it was worth sharing. 5A the only class without an undefeated regular season team3 points

Teams will request two game films. Not necessarily the last two. Believe me they have access to every game you have played. If you think you are hiding stuff you’re not3 points

Outside of the Indy Metro, any Sectional south of I-70 and east of I-65 with East Central as a participant IS by definition an East Central Invitational. They are the dominant team in any class for that quarter of the State - in any class. The almost annual Roncalli/East Central (or Chatard/East Central in those years Roncalli was unavailable) is a great game for Indiana HS football.2 points

Dang!! College offers for little bro? If not WWE tag team called the acolytes. Finishing move called the absolution. I get royalties if this happens.2 points

Watching IU football is like watching paint dry. It’s also like Groundhog Day over and over and over again…1 point

Lulz... Defending 3A, beat the team last year's team got rolled by, 9-0, 20 game streak. But yeah, prolly not. ✌️1 point
-
Yeah, Tom is gone at the end of the season, imo. There's just not much talent down there. The QB position is a prime example.1 point
-
Unreal....typical, but still. Absolutely no excuses. Coby Andison has GOT to take care of the football. You are at midfield, you had the 1st down, just get down. Not that it is all on him. The offense was pathetic through the first half. Just more of the same crap we see year after year after year after year after year.1 point

It’s always a great game. As much as I admire Roncalli, I am of the opinion East Central will have to wait until next year for a Roncalli rematch. I think New Pal is likely the team to beat this year in a strong, resurgent 4A.1 point

Congratz to Seymour and BNL for share of the HHC title! Congratz to JC on much improved program! Good to see them competing! even tho the conference remains down- I do enjoy seeing parity in the conference. Good luck in the tourney to all HHC teams!1 point

I’ve seen the EC/Roncalli game many times. Fun games to watch. I know first hand dating back to the Rod Ballart/Bruce Scifres days both programs have tremendous respect for each other and they like playing. We are all the beneficiaries of this with great games to entertain us. A lot of people are understandably penciling in Roncalli as the 4A champs, but we have six weeks of Football left in Indiana, let’s enjoy the hell out of it.1 point
-
Not to beat a dead horse but Roncalli had the benefit of some late season measuring stick contests whereas New Pal’s were all in August. No fault of theirs. Hell, I have so much respect for both programs but I actually moved East Central UP in my rankings based on how they played Roncalli. The best part is that we will likely get to see this one settled on the field in what could shape up to be the game of the tournament.1 point

Combination of all 3? MD is peaking at the right time. Reitz is beatable. And anything can happen in the Nut Club game.1 point

Mullet presumption of Roncalli getting back there. Disrespect to Sectional 24. However, the IHSAA wizards gave EC their own holiday invitational sectional.1 point

I feel like the playing 2 ways thing is a little overblown sometimes. GS does have players playing both ways at times…I mean Delong has been playing in all 3 phases of the game all year just like his older brothers did Tbh….I don’t understand how other teams can have 50+ kids on the team but still start 6 of them on both sides. It’s one thing when you have a talented kid who rises above the rest and earns other roles because of how great they are…and it’s something else when players don’t step up and coaches are forced to play the same handful of kids both ways because that handful of kids are the only ones giving their best effort1 point
-
I’m sure they will get their mojo back week 10. Unlike any conference in SW Indiana, the SIAC is a grind and can cause many ups and downs for a young talented team.1 point

Pirates must have been sitting their 9 D1 players this week, resting them for their march to Indy I suppose ??? Or maybe they entered the transfer portal for early enrollment 🙂1 point
-
Without the turnovers, especially the first one, this is a completely different ball game. Y’all were driving on us multiple times and poised for a TD and turnovers killed it. I still think this VL team can beat anyone in the SIAC. Boonville showed that Gibson Southern can be scored on. With Hunt and that defense playing like it did weeks 1-3, you guys are in a perfect place to play spoiler.1 point

He definitely is, it is hard to believe he is only a Junior. He will likely shatter all QB records at Cathedral when he is done playing (He has already overtaken them). That being said last year you told me about Cherry at QB for CG, he looks to be a very solid QB for the Trojans. You said he would be solid and he definitely looks good to me.1 point

I never forgot what I heard from Dick Honig one of my first years, maybe the first as a white hat. He said you can not survive as a referee if you don’t know what happened to the QB.1 point

Yeah, that’s the reason there hasn’t been a rush by other states to follow the Indiana example … in the last 37 yrs.1 point

Warren Central went to St. Louis and got its butt handed to it 52-25 tonight. The Warriors head into the bye week with a 4-5 regular season record. I called them finishing that way1 point

CG's webcast crew is very good. I'm sure you won't appreciate the CG bias like I do but the announcers are good at what they do.1 point

I have a feeling that Warren Central might shock the state and win 6A this year. If the Warriors beat Center Grove, history says that they will go on to win state.1 point

That is impressive. I didn't realize until this week the games didn't count towards the conference. I'd hand a banner anyway.1 point

Yea. Sadly passed away about a week ago. Was Art Sanders night, Youth league night, and senior night. Plus our first victory over county rival since 2016. Was a big night0 points
