Tippy County came away with 3 more titles tonight. 2 in Lake County as well. Pretty good football down yonder and yet the state sent Tippy Valley south to Chatard instead of WL, 🤣 At least if they get by Redskins, they host that Semi State game with Trojans

If they win Friday they will stay in 4A, however, if they lose and win 2023 Sectional 24, they will remain Or if they lose Friday and not win the 2023 sectional 24. Memorial will be back in 3A in 2024, if I am correct

I knew you were being tongue-in-cheek. I was simply trying to return the favor. Sarcasm is hard online, no hard feelings. Since I have the podium, The Braves are losing a good senior class. They were a winning group and - from afar - they seemed to really grow together and play for each other. That’s what makes me most proud. At times, the offense has looked as good as it has in years. The qb should grow with his class of receivers over the next couple of years. They have a talented sophomore RB and some returning size on OL. I hope the current D staff stays in place until the end of time. They have shown they can develop a stingy unit year over year. Same goes for the special teams. A bit of a bitter sweet ending. I wasn’t so sure how things were going to turn out after the first half in game 1 against chatard. But, credit to the players and coaches for getting better week over week. It was fun to follow along.

I though my humor was better, but anywhoo, very hard nice fought game by your Braves. Nice DL play and talent at the WR position. If Geske can continue to progress, that will really move things forward. If a team relays on pass, throwing less than 55% make it hard to win against good teams especially after the bump to 4A. I expect BJ to stay there based on enrollment. I would expect to be favored to win sectional next year.

In my defense, I said it could go two ways. Apparently the coaches chose plan B!

Indy schools desperate because they kicked the two best teams out of their, I mean there, conference.

Andrean should be getting a new school here shortly I’m think 4A enrollment. but bigger ain’t always better. There are probably only 10 schools in 6A consistently better than Andrean. Plus those Indy schools don’t wanna travel up here. It’s been said for years. They always want us there

We have the Greatest most Democratic playoff system in the Country..... Why would we ever want to change it? I as a Coach Love it! Of course there are rarely Cinderella's, but once in a great while there are. I have actually coached on two teams that were 5-4, 6-3 and made it to the State Championship..... Soooo there is that. Leave it alone and let the kids play. Let the ball bounce where it may and lets go compete........

Sectionals are supposed to be based all on geography in theory. Look at the eight 1a sectionals and tell me there wasn’t some private school bias that was put into the alignment. How can Lutheran, Covenant Christian, Park Tudor, and Traders Point not all be in the same football sectionals? Seeger and South Vermillion are unfortunate outliers in WRC postseason football because they are bigger schools. There is no reason for the six 1a WRC schools not to be in the same football sectionals. Just like there is no reason for the four Indy private 1a schools not to be in the same sectionals.

I totally feel this. It seems like the 3 of us do a pretty good job of upending each others hopes and dreams.

I will add that while it will take a miracle for OV to lose Friday against Pike Central, I think they will have some trouble with a (likely) Danville team. I would love to see Pike Central win...it would be their first sectional in history. They have NEVER played this many games in a season in school history.

Can they both lose? LOL

I've been to many Bishop Chatard - Hamilton Heights playoff games over the years. They all happened to be at Chatard (meaning at Broad Ripple HS... or Manual HS... etc) prior to the opening of Alumni Field on campus. This Friday was our first trip to Arcadia. What a cool stadium with the sunset in the backdrop at kickoff. (My first thought - what is this, the Rose Bowl??) Also - the fans, folks at the gate, and concession stand volunteers could not have been nicer. Just want to commend @gonzoronand any other HH supporters for being great hosts. Congrats on a great season. 3A is better when HH is good. The Huskies will be back!

Bloomington South 14 Bloomington North 7 (half) South's starting RB Gavin Adams who went down with what looked like an ankle injury in the 1st, was limping going to the locker room so he probably won't be back for the rest of the game. Adams is a big loss for the Panther offense although Ben Morrison has run pretty well in his stead. South will get the ball to start the 2nd half.
