Kudos to tippman and the staff for getting kids to join the team while ensuring they're accepted onto the team..its a shame when schools have some of the best athletes walking the halls whom never touch the field or court..if this year's team can come together they may shock some people..upper echelon teams will not fear them n mid level programs will place a target on squarely on their back. If they are a true panther squad that can bring home the bell it will not take long to put avid watchers on notice.

Win or lose, Eastbrook will be better off for challenging themselves against a good 4A program early in the season. It might be baptism by fire for some of the younger talent stepping up to varsity level for their first game but they'll know immediately where they stack up against a top team and what areas they need to improve in. Looking forward to seeing them compete in this game.

They have 37 seniors this year, so the experience is there. Let's see if they can get over the "Carmel" hump this year. That is if they can beat Homestead, heard they have good team this year as well.

2019 Predictions 1. East is head & shoulders above everyone else, last year a few teams missed their chances. I think they will surprise some 6A teams come sectional time. Gaddis always has his kids playing at peak performance come sectional time 2. Weber is starting to build a solid program at BNL. Not extremely deep this season with a small junior class but has 19 seniors and the sophomore & freshman classes both look good. 3. BNL, FC, New Albany & Jeffersonville hopefully all think they can win a sectional title this year and that’s good for the competitive balance of the conference. 4. Seymour will continue to improve 5. JC & Madison will continue to struggle 6. Some FC fan in forum land will have himself convinced they are one of the top teams in southern Indiana. 😃 Truthfully I have a lot of fun in this thread this time of year and expect this year will be the same. Enjoyed meeting a few of you last season and hope to connect again this fall. Best of luck to every team in the HHC this season.

Weak opening two games will not do anything to help Tipton later an in the year. It will be a good test for MG to see what if any improvements have been made sense last year. If I were Tipton I would look to strengthen those early games before conference play. Could we be looking at a future return to the CIC for the Blue Devils?

Not sure "coast" is the word I'd use. New Pal returns quite a few players, but also lost a lot of quality seniors that played major roles. QB, WR, center, guard, and 3 ILB all graduated. The center also played D-line and has moved on to play at UIndy. The WR also played CB and is gonna play baseball at Indiana Wesleyan. And one of the LB is gonna play at Taylor. Lost some studs. Need some kids to step up into those spots.
