  7. Also, to all the kids who played their last football game last night, given that only somewhere around 10% of high school football players continue on to play college football, I hope the overall experience brought you all the best from teamwork, to new friends, to learning more about yourself and personal growth. Yes, there are those who relive the plays of their high school days, like Uncle Rico, but most remember the friends and the personal growth long after the scores and records are forgotten. Good luck to you guys on the next thing that life brings you.

  10. With regional and semi state coming, could Providence or North Decatur beat Lutheran or still just the Lutheran show? With North Decatur win last night, i dont think Sheridan will be much of a game

  12. Cold Bourbon Sexual Championship Edition Written, edited, and dictated By: Spanky Harper The American Legion post 92 is lit right now. I just hit a $200 pull tab and bought a round for everyone to celebrate another bluejay sexual championship. Now, you might be thinkin to urself how did the bluejays do it? How did they come back from taking a beating just a few weeks ago? Well, let spanky tell ya. It was coaching. Plane and simple. Coach Lambert and his crew pulled those boys from the pit of despair. It’s easy to judge the bluejays. When your in the stands u think u know everything, but in all honesty unless u were at practice or in that coaches office u haven’t the slightest inclination of the challenges the bluejays faced. Luckily, i infiltrated the coaches office and have been living there for a few months now. The coaches don’t know it, but I have been sleeping in the drop ceiling above the bathroom. Maybe sometimes they might hear a weird squeaking sound, but I have them believing its a just varment living in there. Execution lead to the execution of the trojenz. Football is a simple game. the jays showed up with McDaniel, Benson, and Wilcox and the Trojenz had shively. But what the Trojenz didnt have tonite was a couple savages up front by the names of Kozecar and Sanchez. The truth of the matter is that this game was won weeks ago, son. The jays bottomed out when they lost to Triton’s Trojenz in week 7. The fans grew cold towards muh Jays. The crowds dwindled. Many of the “loyals” abandoned all hope, but not the players, nor the staff. At the end of the day that is all that matters. Do the kids in your locker room believe in each other and the coaches? If they do, then you have a chance. Sometimes a chance, in this life, is all that you’re looking for. That opportunity. That moment. That is what happened tonite. The Jays believed. They believed they would bust that nut in bourbon. They believed in each other despite what happened. Just like i believed when I put that $20 into the pull tab machine. Spankin by the Numbers 3- Sectional 41 Titles in a row for the bluejays 4- Sectional titles in 5 years for coach lambert 6- Straight years the Bluejays have played for a sectional Title 7- my room number at the shady oaks motel; cum and see me.

  13. A surprising - and yet, not surprising - victory by the Tigers tonight. The Tiger D was stout and the offense kept the ball away from the Panthers for much of the game. Panther offense looked out of sync all night, even Vera had a couple of rare miscues. The lone bright spot was strong running by Oxley who ran over everyone in his way. The talk in the section where we were seated focused on the tremendous coaching job by Hurley & staff the last half of the year. Tigers were ready to play tonight and maybe Reitz might have over-looked Memorial after their earlier rout at the Bowl. The ghosts of Enlow come back to haunt another Tiger foe.

  16. I am an advocate of neutral sites to host tournament games after the sectional round, and I think the facilities in Indiana are capable of a format with neutral site hosts for regional and semi-state. Here are my hypothetical neutral site regional games for this year. All games would be played at locations with turf fields. This will reduce travel times and remove field conditions as a variable. It also gives schools an opportunity to showcase the investment they have made in their facilities. Neutral Site Regionals - Friday Night 6A Crown Point/Penn @ Chesterton HSE/Westfield @ Noblesville Ben Davis/Cathedral @ Arsenal Tech Warren Central/Center Grove @ Franklin Central 5A Merrillville/Valparaiso @ Hobart Mishawaka/FW Snider @ Warsaw Decatur Central/Whiteland @ Southport Bloomington South/Evansville North @ Jasper 4A New Prairie/NorthWood @ SB St Joe Leo/Mississinewa @ Huntington North Mooresville/New Palestine @ Greenwood East Central/Evansville Memorial @ Silver Creek 3A West Lafayette/Knox @ Kankakee Valley Delta/Indianapolis Chatard @ Pendleton Heights Tri-West/Gibson Southern @ Bloomington North Batesville/Heritage Hills @ Bedford NL 2A LaVille/Lafayette Central Catholic @ Logansport FW Luers/Bluffton @ Norwell Southmont/Eastern Hancock @ Plainfield Triton Central/North Posey @ Bedford North Lawrence 1A North Judson/Park Tudor @ Northwestern Carroll/Adams Central @ Oak Hill Sheridan/North Decatur @ Greenfield Central Indianapolis Lutheran/Providence @ Seymour

  21. IU 20 - Wisconsin 14 final The utter mediocrity of the Big 2, er Big 10, reared its ugly head again today. Brutal game to watch, somebody had to win. Dreading seeing the “celebration” video coming out of the IU locker room after this one…

  28. Yea, I saw some good things there on North Side, but I not sure I've seen a fast start like that from Snider in awhile. Was glad that both teams stuck to the game and played a mostly uneventful game in regard to flags. Looking forward to the Mishawaka game

  29. Lol, I mentioned one team in your entire Top 25. I think that's giving your Top 25 quite a bit of respect. Kudos to you for putting it together. With over 300 teams and a nine game schedule, I take the easy road and formulate my Top 25 at the end of the season. For the record, I chose Fishers as an upset pick. Had I been betting money, I would have taken HSE. And I like to take chances and be different from the crowd. I've got Snider just ahead of Fishers and Crown Point. Not much of a change in your Top 25. Again............kudos. I enjoy seeing it posted at 6am in the morning over a cup of coffee.

  33. Yeah, as impressive and disciplined as EC was last year, it would appear they’ve only gotten better. I said all along that I have a hard time imagining anybody else in 4A beating them. But, let’s lace ‘em up.

  35. 3 straight Road Games for the Chatard Trojans, being Road Warriors. That means if they beat Delta and West Lafayette beats Knox a home game for Chatard in Semi-State. Can Coach Doyle and the AD schedule it at Broad Ripple for old times sake just to get the IHSAA to give the stink eye?!

  36. The TESTOSTERONE of specific players was an issue! Trust me, we don't like "face time" But a FANTASTIC HS Football game on both sides. Congratulations to the NLC, I was impressed by the fans, players, and the atmosphere of the Sectional Championship Game. Truly what IHSAA FB is all about.

  46. Love the optimism @FinePrint, but I am inclined to disagree with you. 3 things that I have noticed about the Jays over the last 3 weeks compared to Triton. 1. Jays kicking game vs Triton's kicking. Triton takes the field position game, extra point game, and fg game all day. Field position will be the biggest factor in this game and the disadvantage is Judson. 2. Judson's offense vs Triton's offense. Judson has shown inconsistencies in the pass game all season. Understanding they are a run first team, the passing game has been has been throw the deep ball and pray that the receiver catches the ball. Triton has shown way more balance in both the running and passing game all season. 3. Defensively both teams have played lights out the last few weeks, no doubt. Unfortunately, I don't know how a 1 dimensional team can stop balance. Unless something dramatic happens where turnovers are a problem, I feel like this game absolutely goes to Triton. The score maybe different, but I don't think it will be that much different.
