The Hammond Morton contract is a 4 year deal. They called and asked us for a long term deal as they try to build their program and wanted to play the best in the state once a year. Roncalli was never scheduled. We resume our rivalry in the '22-23 season. And though the product on the field was not strong, CHS got to play about 70 players last night. A bunch of smiles last night from kids starving to get on that field with these 40 seniors dominating playing time.3 points

It’s funny, the games we should win going away turn out to be real shootouts. Purdue lucked out earlier today, hopefully IU can escape with a W. Still not convinced Penix is the guy…1 point

Had I been observing this game, in the post-game review with the crew I definitely would have asked them if they talked about disqualification at the time and, if so, what their thought process was in coming to a decision. There are a lot of factors that go into that decision, as @Yuccaguypointed out, some of them pretty subtle. It’s not one to make lightly.1 point

Mt Vernon and North Posey must have been reading too many press clippings lately. It happens with 16-17 year olds. But I will take an ugly win over a loss any day.1 point

I am guessing number 2. For it to rise to number 3, he would have to participate in the play, right? Rather than just running off the field? I will defer to @Yuccaguy on the 12 man rules though. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣1 point

Good quote. I like this oldie but a goodie as well: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin1 point

Was not in attendance for this one but did catch the radio broadcast...it really just followed the script of the previous 3 games. Lincoln battled defensively to keep it tight, trailing 12-7 at the half. But that can only be sustained for so long when you can't flip the field on offense at the very least. Plus 4 turnovers never helps, and Harrison benefited from those in a major way with some coming deep in VL territory. Just a really frustrating night, as I'm sure Lincoln felt they could get some offensive momentum going.1 point

Thank you sir! Just been around and seen to much in the last 15 years! When it comes to a star player they are treated much differently than a lower teered player in the cic for the most part! But Eastbrook is a class act and leads by example. I hope someday that the rest of the schools will learn from it!1 point

Some Takeaways: -Memorial didn’t have any problems handling Bosse tonight, I believe Bosse did held Brodie to only 40 yards in rushing tonight, but still ended for 4 total TDs. -Castle appeared to struggle with Reitz in the 1Q, but open up the floodgates after HT. Don’t know if Reitz collapsed or not -Great win by Harrison, as I did not think the score would be that large. I wouldn’t be happy right now if I was VL fan, hope Seal brings some insight. Since I thought that game would go down to the wire -Jasper handled Central pretty well, seemed like the pumped off the gas 2H -Mater Dei and North, great game by both teams, however, Mater Dei takes a really close victory by 7. Though one of their TDs looked to be controversial1 point

Am I correct in saying that only CN has a shot at winning the conference over Bloomington South at this point?1 point

A real shame for those Hammond kids. They were done a large disservice by their athletic department. Just my opinion.1 point

Who said they would “roll over.” It’s just a gut feeling. I’m not even saying that Floyd Central is the better team. Just a hunch they’ll win that game.1 point

Easy now, the stars are not going to roll over. Bedford seems to be on he rise from the beginning of the season.1 point

I concur..power poll so far n yes I've been rolling with coach k from week 1 1) Luers- They are we thought they were..well not everyone knew they'd be hearing the echoes of the Spencer n Lindsay led teams of decades past..2a is in trouble yet nothing is given 2) Carroll- Dinan gives them the edge at #2..taking it on the chin at the hands of the knights does not seem as damming as most thought..that offense can score although bart ball may negate that during playoffs (if it happens) 3) Snider- Panthers took a step forward by squeaking past sparty last week. Wayne may be a trap game n the target on their back will never diminish..can they finish? 4) Homestead- They had their chances last week..they have the look of a 6a school..can they become a true "program" is yet to be seen..feeder system is strong 5) Dwenger- Tough sledding for a tough group of kids..that hit parade won't stop anytime soon..they will win more games this year..how many is yet tbd.. 6) Northside- Legends have been reeling of late as well..the have shown the ability to compete..just not for 4 quarters..keep the core together..the rest will follow 7) Concordia- Cadets have slowly been getting better although their record may not reflect it..with chatard moving up they need to remain focused. 8 South Side- Winning a game says a mouthful about their new coach..they won a sectional game last year as well..if they stick with it the green n white may cause damage.. 9) Northrop- Can't quite figure them out..so many athletes walking the halls yet the culture just isn't there..they will be ready for the playoffs though 10) Wayne- Haydock gives some of the best pregame speeches n knows how to get the most of his athletes..weather changes n so does our youth..hopefully they tough it out..Snider better be on upset alert 📢1 point
