  1. considering 95% of the "drama" and "reports" stems from that section of the website that truly serves no purpose, @DK_Barons pulled the plug on it which I fully support. It truly has turned into a personal political playground for about 7-10 users and continue to go around and around and then it goes too far and lots of energy is used to to moderate that section that serves no purpose to our sport of Football. Coach Tim Adams original foresight into that section was a place where you could put on blast your favorite sports teams and players and to a lesser extent a place where folks could banter with @dawgieinthepound back in the day. Those days are long gone and now its just pure stupidity from my seat. Do not have to agree with my sentiment about it, but I personally have had enough of that section going on 4 + years, which is sad because it could of be utilized as a nice section to promote new ideas, pop culture, show/book/etc recommendations, express different Hobbies and such. Instead its a non stop FACEBOOK lite where everyone gets all twisted up and non stop political garbage spews... rinse repeat. That is my answer. I did not tell DK to hit the eject button, but I made my stance clear on what I thought about the section, however, I am just 1 lone voice. The fact that I have spent any energy on this even right now is tiresome to me, but I did feel the need to at least give @Muda69 my thoughts on it. Bottom line: Our website sole purpose was created for the promotion of Indiana High School Football, its players, coaches, communities that participate in it.

  2. That’s your problem....now that he very gracefully left despite being err....”followed”....yet you are still somehow here despite that. Wow....just wow....apparently the Admins are down with it. I have many friends here that are without any doubt ABSOLUTELY quality people despite the fact I deeply disagree with them...Gonzo, Foxbat...maybe Irishman these days....unclear to me. Doesn’t matter...free country. I would never wish any of them them ill or evenly distantly doubt their quality as people. Hell, I don’t know squat about Muda outside of the GID but I know he is damned principled and ABSOLUTELY consistent...which tells me something about his quality of character. In the end, much like TD, I probably agree with him 75% (maybe more) of the time....though it took TD and me some years to realize it. Still looking forward to arguing with Muda, btw....if this forum survives. Fighting with him seems inherently natural to me. Wouldn’t mind meeting him some day....doesn’t mean we’d like each other....I’m no pushover. For you “youngsters”, I wish you could see the multi page arguments over the last 14 years Muda and I have had (let alone the arguments Trojan Dad and Muda have had). TD was an absolutely straight up quality guy. His creed was God, Family, America, Center Grove and the MIC. He’d fight you every step if he disagreed with you but he was a true believer. Part of the reason he left (and the admins know the others) was that he was going to end up spending more time with his church (clearly unlike me). Damn good man. Honestly, I wish I could be as high a quality guy as Trojan Dad. If he, somehow, needs to leave perhaps I do, somehow, as well.

  3. It's nice to come back and still see the LCC/Tipton love affair. Back in the day, the elder Coach Tolle would have run a flea flicker up 50 in the last minute of a game. How quickly people forget the good old days! Thanks for the reading guys. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  7. What the definition of a guy who tries to Stalk members on their personal facebook pages and sends messages to them telling them that you know their name and try to impose your presence in their personal life, such as Facebook. I have seen the screenshots...... be fortunate you are still here..... 8. I still have a very clear mental image of the name “Tardy” on the back of his jersey getting smaller and smaller as he accelerated away from me. And that was the 2003 team, so it was 17 yrs. ago.

  11. Let's start off with this nugget: Will Pennsylvania Be the Florida of the 2020 Election? https://reason.com/2020/09/22/will-pennsylvania-be-the-florida-of-the-2020-election/ Yep, it may be Christmas or early January before this presidential election is decided. But maybe by then it will be too cold in much of the country for the rioters on either side of the uni-party to get out and do some damage.

  14. So Culver's offense is gonna score more on Winamac then Judson's did? Culver's offense is gonna score twice as many touchdowns as LaVille's did against Winamac?

  15. No #8 that I recall. #6 had 210 yards rushing. #60 Erb had 9 tackles, 1 caused fumble. #75 DEFINITELY played. Both ways. Had 8 takles on defense, and forced numerous Advils on Saturday at my house on offense. https://www.maxpreps.com/games/9-18-2020/football-fall-20/hamilton-heights-vs-western.htm?c=zxqEbn3yxkGIp6Uc77sYtA#tab=box-score&schoolid=

  16. The one in the walking boot had a tendon issue but has been back for the last two games. Seems to be fine now. Beleive the other lineman was held out for a possible concussion and general sickness last week. Did not even make it to the game. The WR dressed the last two weeks and would punt if needed. Maybe surgery at some point for a ligament issue? Waiting to see I beleive as it is a tricky thing because he is a very good basketball player as well. Not sure how that is going to play out for the rest of his junior year and then next year. A special teams player and back-up RB has a miniscus issue. It might be best to get it taken care of as needed as he is only a freshmen and don't want to comprimise his future. Then the player with the broken arm really hurts as well. He was an athlete that filled many roles and added key depth at lots of positions. No activity for 7 or 8 weeks for him, but he has said he will immediately start rehab to get back for baseball and will be playing football again his senior season. The roster is deep and talented enough to play with everyone left on the regular season schedule if they play to their strengths. As long as no more issues arise they should be on a level playing field with everyone in the sectional outside of Pioneer. Will be tough for anyone in that sectional to give them a scare I would think.

  17. If one were to know him in real life, that may be true. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Don’t know him, never met him and didn’t interact with him on this site in the regular forums. My only interaction with him was in the OOB, and he was a jerk to several in that forum, myself included. I have to say the interaction was mutual, because I believe in treating others the way that they treat me. So no ill will and sincerely hope he finds peace off this site.

  20. Heights first PAT attempt was blocked. 2nd touchdown went for 2 and failed(with :57 left in the 4th, good kick would have won in regulation), OT PAT was perfect. I don't think Western attempted a PAT kick all night, but I could be wrong about that.

  21. I agree with you...seems like the only thing that we can get out of this offense is hope to catch the defense by surprise on a pass or two. If that isn't happening, we won't be doing anything. Unless your playing caston, then everything seems to work. When a freshman backup qb is getting more touches than a stud sr athlete on the team, there is a problem with the offense. Knox should win thiis with no problem. Change the name from the spin offense, to spinning your wheels offense.

  22. They scored 1 more point than Western in overtime. The only good extra point kick by either team all night.

  25. Eastbrook @ Alex Eastbrook has a second half running clock but not at big as last week. Elwood @ Blackford Blackford big over Elwood assuming they play. 28+ Mississinewa @ Frankton Will the Eagles surprise CoachOsGhost with a big upset here???? No. Ole Miss with a running clock. Oak Hill @ Madison Grant. Even though Madison Grant looks to be improving, Oak Hill seems to be rolling. Oak Hill big here. Could this be our first week of all second half running clocks? Could this week be the week that CoachOsGhost finally tells us how he really feels about Frankton's coaching staff? Is this the week the we learn that Mask companies are the real scum bags behind the Covid Nonsense. So many question, so little time.

  27. Maybe it's a habit I've picked up working in the Middle East over the past four years, especially in communications -- toe the company line, express personal opinions through the proper channels and at the right time (although in this case I agree with the Illuminati).

  28. I fully support the decision by @DK_Barons and @77Jimmie. I believe the Clubs feature will fill any role and positively contribute to TGD and its community.

  29. While I agree that you have to build your program from the bottom up, there are many factors that a coach has little control. It is much easier to have consistency in a one high school town. All the junior high feed into your program. In South Bend...there are 5 middle schools going to 4 high schools. With open enrollment, any kid can go to any school in the city. There is no way to build consistency if you don't know who you are going to have. This leads to letting the middle school coaches do what they want. There are some programs in multi high school towns that have had consistent success...but the are the exception rather than the rule.

  30. I’ve joined all the new clubs (Gonzo’s too....I think....I tried, anyway). Not sure I’ll ever post anything...but I get the mood occasionally. Hell, I can’t even understand how one might post....I tried. I’m just a “joiner”, I guess. Still...as regards Muda, I tried to open a new thread called “Thanks for a Your Support”. Thought Muda might like that.

  32. There are exceptions to every rule. North Central in Indy is a good example. O'Shea is in his 4th season and is 22-15. Went 3-7 the first year, but NC only won 1 game in the previous 3. Won their first sectional championship in school history. There's been one D1 player in the first 3 years and one that has verbally committed this season. The coaching staff is exceptional. Junior high success may be the key. This year, they have 4 defensive players that have started varsity for 3 years. That will deplete anyone's JV team. Previous Coaches: 1-29 ; 16-38; 14-19;

  36. Bob the year I had the MS issue, it was a POE. The dude was doing play by play while the ball was in play, including “no flag on the late hit out of bounds”.

  37. Yes, had to go look at film to remind myself, but we took the ball in the 4th quarter and ran the ball 12 straight plays and the 12th play was 3rd and 1 from the 5 yard line that play gained 3 yards and made it 1st and goal from the 2. 2 knee outs and after that. Game was essentially over when we got that 1st down. With Sectionals the following week, the job was done, no need to run any more at that point. I learned long ago that you can only concern yourself and your energy with things you have control over. ME THINKS, someone is having some fun at the expense of the Blue Devil faithful.

  40. As the offensive coordinator at Tipton, the thought of taking a knee never crossed my mind! I have a ton of respect for LCC and their ability to score quickly. We were on edge every time they had the ball. It was not brought up until my father showed up on Saturday evening for a cook out and mentioned that the channel 40 folks were talking about it. I have a great relationship with Coach Nay. There is a ton of mutual respect between our programs. I texted him immediately once I heard folks were making it a big deal to make sure he was not upset. He was not. I think we can put this to bed!

  43. I have had, and always will have, the utmost respect for the Rensselaer football program. I feel comfortable saying that the coaches feel the same way. Tonight’s game is another example of why I have that respect. Both teams played hard, compassionately, and with great skill. The defenses won the game for both teams tonight. Great job of preparation on the part of the Bomber nation coaching staff. Great effort on the part of the players. I personally hope y’all have nothing but success from here on out this season.
