I think West Lafayette just got thrown in there as someone saw they played LCC during the season and decided they were close enough to the cathedral to be honorary Catholics.5 points

41: Culver 5-2, West Central 4-3 North Judson 4-3. Culver is 4-1 against sectional foes. That one loss was to N.Judson in week 1 26-24. They hammered West Central in W4 44-0. 2 tough games ahead with 6-1 2A Pioneer, and 5-2 2A LaVille. The Bluejays face those same two teams to close out their season. WC started 3-0 and has lost 3 in a row… the NJudson WCentral game was not played due to lack of officials. Winamac at 2-5 blasted the Trojans last week 52-8, and lost only 28-20 to the Cavaliers in week 6. Perhaps they will be in the mix come sectional time, altho the Bluejays beat them 28-8 mid season. For the first time in a while it's not LCC and Pioneer eliminating each other early in the process. In the past 10 years, there have been eight times where LCC and Pioneer could meet, did meet, and eliminated each other ... the other two years, 2013 and 2014, LCC was in 2A. This time around it's Pioneer there.2 points

This is an incorrect assumption. The wrc coach I would choose to consult with would be Herb King. Herb is a sly tactician with the skill and cunning of Loki. They have single handedly changed the game of football. Endzone cameras are probably the most important football invention since headphones.2 points

I think its easier to be productive as a young offensive player than it is as a young defensive player, especially in the B10. that is why Karlaftis season has been so good, because he is NOWHERE yet where he is going to be with size, technique as he continues to build. I loved finally getting Grahmn down in the box as a Nickel/OLB last week instead of in space at safety. Happy Maliq Carr day indeed1 point

RP defense will benefit from this rain.. dont see PH throwing the ball to much in this unless RP stops the run. Still think PH will win but by how much NV will most likely take it to 35 and put JV in to avoid injuries to starters. NV dont always play the best in the rain on other fields... but what team really do play good in the rain? If FC can control the run they may stay in this game a bit longer the anticipated but NV comes out on top. SV may take this one from Seeger but Seeger is coming on strong in second half of regular season. Fight of the 2A WRC teams. Pray for a healthy outcome. Covington will win this one on the ground with Brown.. All in all I dont see a lot of passing tonight.. i see more twisted ankles and injuries coming out of week 8 unless this rain dies out before pregame warmups. Good luck to all teams and prayers to all to come out injury free1 point

Part of Brohm's coaching philosophy is to simply outscore the other team. We did put up big numbers against Vandy and the debacle in Nevada. Stockpiling weapon on offense is great, but the defense needs to do their fair share, too.1 point

HHC Pick 'Em Standings 1. @boilerfan87 34/39 (.872) 2. @Frozen Tundra 31/39 (.795) 3. @mamasa 23/31 (.742) 4. @starbacker 19/26 (.731) 5. @TIFootball 2/4 (.500) Week 8 Predictions Bedford North Lawrence (2-5, 2-2 HHC) at Floyd Central (5-2, 3-1 HHC): Second place in the HHC is still up for grabs. A win here would be huge for the Stars and would give them a leg up on all of the other 2-2 teams. However, the Highlanders have shown they have the right mix of talent and experience to rise above all of the HHC teams south of Bartholomew County. The injuries Floyd Central has suffered in recent weeks make the outcome a little cloudier than it should be. Nevertheless, I'll put all my chips on the talents of Wenkers Wright to shoulder the load and carry the team to victory. Floyd Central gets the win. Columbus East (5-2, 4-0 HHC) at Seymour (4-3, 2-2 HHC): According to some writer with the Seymour Tribune, I should be concerned about a free-falling Owls team "steamrolling" my Olympians with their ground game. Apparently someone evaded a drug test before landing the job. Seems like the kind of journalist Bob Knight would've enjoyed taking questions from. But I digress. The Olympians are pretty banged up, although that's not an issue in conference play. Considering East has scored at least 42 points and has won by at least 26 points in the last 15 games against Seymour, I still fully expect them to "steamroll" Seymour. Jennings County (3-4, 1-3 HHC) at Jeffersonville (2-5, 2-2 HHC): This could be the HHC game of the week. The Panthers' pass-heavy offense and porous defense could make this a shootout. The Red Devils will have the talent advantage in this one but will they play a clean, smart game? We shall find out. I'll favor talent and go with Jeff though. New Albany (2-5, 1-3 HHC) at Madison (1-6, 1-3 HHC): The Bulldogs finally broke through last week and picked up their first HHC win of the season. I expect them to get two straight against a terrible Cubs team. Not much more to say about this one. The results speak for themselves. New Albany gets the W.1 point

Funk has a younger son that is a 6th grader and may be better than the older son. Funk has had offers at different levels but loves Mississinewa and has a nice home right on Main Street. If anything I would have thought he would have took the job at Bluffton since that is where he is from.1 point

My only issue is that his defenses have always struggled to stop the pass. It can be argued that Purdue has had subpar DBs, though. 4* TE/WR Maliq Carr is making his decision tomorrow afternoon and Purdue is the heavy favorite.1 point

The Hoosier Conference is split into two divisions of five teams, East and West. Each team plays the other four teams in their division and one team from the other division each year in a crossover game. The last week of the season, the #1 East team plays the #1 team in the West Division, the #2 East plays the #2 West and so on down the standings. This is why WL is playing Cass twice in a three week time period. Last week was the crossover game for the two schools. Next week, will be the game to determine the Hoosier Conference football champion between the East and West divisions.1 point

I love the idea that a Tipton loss will send them into slow time to take on an old rival. Ahhh the good old days, when Tipton people get all up in arms about RC making it further in the state tournament. Yeah I wasn't going to bring up the coaching woes that Eastern has had. It's a shame that crap like that still has to happen in the 21st century. Adults having the need to live life with a junior high mentality. The players and the fans have to suffer because of some parent's agenda. Total BS.1 point
