I believe that there are some on this site that overestimate their importance. Arguing to argue kind of ruins the flow of a thread...there were a lot of valid points until personal attacks come into play I try to respect all in here and accept their point of view...Many here do not. Maybe the administrators need to set up permanent conference threads so people can talk about what they want. Maybe some want to have debate over general football topics. Jeeze

I don’t have any issue with you talking about contraction (or anything else). I just find that subject as uninteresting to me as all the “Conference X” threads Muda finds so vapid but I’m down with both if thats what folks want to do - I just don’t generally have anything to say about them. Not sure what the point is you’re trying to make. You post certain subjects that you admittedly want to stir debate/challenge/disagreement (which, again, is fine by me) but you’re somehow now feeling put upon when it DOES stir debate/challenge/disagreement? Color me a little confused....admittedly, a not uncommon state for me.

First of all, let me apologize for this being late. I have been in the hospital for a heart procedure this week and just got home yesterday afternoon. This week the Thunderbirds pay a visit to Roy Williams field. I want to believe this game will have a little more bite to it since the Miners were beaten so soundly last week at home. Harrell predicts a 45 - 10 Linton win. But last week the Miners were a 12 point favorite and lost. Eastern Greene has to be thinking, "why not us"? While I think the T Birds are not on the same level as North Knox, the Miners had better show up to play. If people thought last week's win by the Warriors was big, a T Bird win this week would be HUGE. They have only beaten the Miners once, ever. It would probably be cause for a month long celebration, plus a huge parade, and the coach would get his name on the governor's ballot in next month's election. All joking aside, good health to both teams.

It is an abomination to man that Indiana is on Eastern Time. Anytime the school start time debate happens, I find it interesting that people suggest starting school at 9am is the only answer to "kids shouldn't be waiting for the bus in the dark" issue. Ummm...what do you expect when your state is on the same time as the Atlantic Seaboard.....maybe putting the state on a time that makes astronomical sense would be the "A" answer. (Bias alert: I also would like MNF, to start at 8pm) Running joke between my region/Chicago buddies whenever they come visit...."Hey, hope that 30 minute drive went well...Welcome to the East Coast!"

During the period from 2010-15, Chatard generally ended the regular season ranked somewhere between 4th-7th because they would drop 2-3 games per season to the likes of Cathedral, Cincy Elder, Roncalli, Dwenger, etc. They also won 4 State Championships during that same period. Unlike, at least one dude here that seems a bit hysterical over 2A polling on a weekly basis, I’m kind of “meh” about them.

I was watching this stupid show. They did 1A North, 1A South, then 2A North but NO 2A South! They jumped to 3A North How dumb. I guess there is no 2A South tournament then.

Yep, Indiana is not in the Eastern Time Zone and we will return to the Central Time Zone someday, probably sometime after I'm dead and gone.

I would say Eastbrook is right where they belong. They are 4th in Sagarins, which its now Week 7 going into Week 8, so they can be used as a viable judgement on how good a team is. 4th in Sagarins and 3rd in the Polls. Its probably pretty accurate. We shall see on the field, consider the top 4 teams in 2A are in the North. Triton Central is currently the top team in 2A South currently.

This Sectional looks like it was seeded with the top 4 teams avoiding each other in the first round. Eastbrook is the defending champion and the favorite again. I like that my Blue Devils will get them at our place this year. Lapel and Eastern should be a great matchup on the top side assuming the top 4 take care of business in the first round.

This 100%. Too many people get in a thread they don't agree with just to spout insults and not even attempt a debate or discussion. I often read alot of threads but never post because I may agree or disagree but don't feel like butting heads about it with the "youre stupid because you don't agree with me" crowd

I wasn't glad because I knew they wouldn't get any non conference games. Jasper has killed it in the SIAC. Playing in the SIAC, is like playing in the SEC, you get beat on week after week, not like playing in the PAC or Big 8. Jasper has exceeded everybody's expectations and this should really prepare them for sectionals year after year.

It’d be easy enough to do it this year. A lot will happen between weeks 8 and 9. With Judson playing laville and then pioneer. If laville or pioneer lose to Judson and the other wins out, conference champ. If Judson beats both, conference champ. If Judson loses both winner of matchup in sectional 34 serves as tie breaker.

Maybe some bulletin board ammo here to get Eastern to get fired up and ready to play! Just kidding, Eastbrook will beat Eastern with slight ease if they meet each other. Eastern, Tipton, and Lapel all have realistic shots if Eastbrook over looks them or gets hit with Covid but other than that, I don't think anyone gets within 14 points if each team is playing on all cylinders. They are just too well coached with the athletes to back up the coaching.

I was 3-0 against Jasper from 2001-2003. My debts are paid and I'm an active member of HH QB Club, even if I'm not there to play in the golf scramble, I donated a brick to building the wall, which I hope to see if I'm able to visit home for the holidays this year as I plan. Jon got the idea for the bricks in part due to Dad helping fund the Santa statue in front of town hall with customized pavers 15 or so years ago... I already owe Dave a Patriot Dog and an Diet Mt Dew at a basketball game; I hope to see you and others like Crewsy and BCaster if HH has a game (hopefully at home) around the holiday break. Back to the SIAC, and I might start a thread about this, should a conference champion that didn't play all the teams in the conference get an asterisk in the record book -- for example if Castle wins a share of the SIAC, they never played Bosse and that game was recorded as a "did not play" not as a "Bosse forfeit" as I understand it?

If the school wants to have football let them have football. Maybe they suck and maybe they suck for years. But one year they might do something awesome and win a sectional and it would be magical for those kids. Not my place to kill those dreams and programs.

What I see is a lack of kids playing any sport without adult interference. Kids just don't meet at the park, choose up sides and play. It's a new day of parent interference, uniforms, and officials. Can't play without em. Got to have the most expensive equipment, best looking uniforms. AAU and Travel have stunted the growth of the player mentally, making it a coaches game more than a players game. A sad state of affairs indeed

South Adams would be #1 if it were pound for pound. Although I have them at 8, I can appreciate why you would have them in the HM category being a 1a school.

Don't blame me. I didn't point you toward it, but I did approve your request to join. I rarely read anything on there.

I think there are more than a few P/P supports left. That said, the same old arguments year after year got old and only takes a page or two to burn out now days when it comes back up. Perhaps everything that can be said regarding contraction has been said as well, I'm not sure. I think the GID has played a large part this season it helping to coordinate Covid Replacement games....that is a huge value add in my eyes.

I think Coaches and people like me.... we will be looking for execution. Eastern Greene is certainly having a down period, so it's a game where mistakes can be overcome and bad habits continue but still the scoreboard will lean heavy in Linton's direction. Coaching staff has been on the kids for some things all year.... and those things came back to bite us badly last week. I'm sure technique and assignments will be heavily drilled. I think too we will see several players out there... I think if someone does anything wrong....they are going to hear about it. OR.... I could be all wrong...! I do think there will be passing early and often. We simply have to get that aspect where it can benefit the rushing game. I tell you... it's so close too...

West Washington would need to win state to bump up 2a, as would Adams Central 2a: Andrean wins State they bump to 3a Eastbrook wins semi State they bump to 3a: Western Boone Bumps to 3a with a Regional Win. Triton Central must win state to bump to 3a. 3a: Chatard bumps to 4a with regional win Heritage Hills bumps to 4a with Semi State Win: Mish. Marian would need to win state as would Danville to bump to 4a 4a: East Noble will need to win Semi State to bump to 5a, while Memorial already playing up, gets stuck no matter what in 4a this upcoming cycle by winning state last year: Mt. Vernon must win State as does Hobart to bump to 5a. 5a: New Pal is stuck in 5a due to their state finals win last year, they stay up: Valpo must win Regional to bump up to 6a, but they are only down because of consolidation of Elkhart, so them and Lafayette Jefferson will be on that 5a/6a bubble regardless. But if Valpo wins Regional they bump up no matter what. Bloomington South would need to Win state to bump up to 6a. 6a: If Center Grove wins: They must bump up to play in the Pioneer League.
